Love his playing! Still play this album and the Lenny White and Stanley Clarke ones he played on regularly. These two songs were rocking my car yesterday.
1st heard this song back in 1980 on KSHE, been humming this song for over 30 yrs, could never find it til now! Thx, KSHE classics! Can't imagine there are 3 people out there that gave this a THUMBS DOWN! Only knew the main lyrics all these years, after listening to all the words, wish I wrote it! Amazing all round song!!
I'm from St Charles and remember 1980 being the best summer for music because of KSHE! Shooting Star, April Wine, Moxy, Chilliwac, Sniff n the Tears, Montrose.....so many!!!!
My Buddy (great Guitarist ) finally found his own copy (in NYC) to replace my overplayed insane find, year of issue best rock pop fusion new category, after a 8 year hunt.
I bought this album when it came out. Knocked me out from the start. Still can't find it on cd. Crunchy vinyl still sounds great. .Listening now , make your move almost has a little feat groove to it.
@dirt - that's because despite Gomez's credits on tons of jazz-rock fusion albums by Lenny White, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, etc., he was unknown to the general public, and there was nothing here on this album that sounded like his work on those records, so it didn't attract the jazz-rock fusion crowd, and it sank without a trace - therefore, unless Wounded Bird or someone like that picks it up, no CD will be issued.
.....is he still with us, Mark? Met him at Riverside Park in Agawam MA nearly four decades (?) ago, with Flo & Eddie / Mark & Howard - one of THE nicest people imaginable!
@chillipepper2011 I just got a guitar techniques magazine in December where he is featured. He came up with some incredible riffs for that magazine. I never knew about him before that magazine. He really is a musical genius.
Rays a real life pal of many years....total Legend....in lots of ways ! Top man

smell the bud
I wish I could look down the front of his pants. For three minutes.
wtf?
Sorry but this absolutely pales in comparison to the original Summer in the city by The Lovin' Spoonful.
I think they are referring to "Make your move", not summer in the city!
