Yeah, all the 8 skills that are mentioned are very relevant and very much needed in any analytics project. I am myself working in a healthcare analytics project as Sr. Data Analyst in WNS and mostly my work revolves around fetching the data through sql server or azure databricks, then calculating standard business KPIs as mentioned in the business SOPs using either Python or excel, then finally create presentation or reports and send it to the client or teradata team (in case of any validation issue). Programming is mostly needed when we needed to automate the validation of certain KPIs without using manual data fetching, cleaning, preprocessing and EDA everytime.

I must be doing something wrong as to why I am not getting any interviews for entry-level data analyst jobs even though I satisfy 7/8 above skills. I graduated with a master's in exercise science back in 2017. Domain knowledge would be in analysis of human biomechanical movement and exercise physiology during exercise. Three plus years of using Excel for statistical analysis. Presentation skills: our master's degree program consisted of several presentations which we were graded on. Graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Have been learning SQL for the past year and will be doing an Oracle DBA certification course this Fall along with pursuing a Tableau certification course. Have completed at least 6 projects doing data analysis using Python. My goal is to land an entry level data-analyst job by the summer of 2021.
@@codebasics Thanks for the Info. I am a data analyst with 10 years experience, on the BI side I use SSIS and SSRS. I think nowadays CRM's like Salesforce and Zoho provide very informative dashboards with graphical representation with almost any variable which a manager can use to drill and analyse and take data backed decisions. In a way this very much undermines the role of an dedicated data analyst.
