I don’t want to seem like I’m trying to get views by talking about bigger creators, but I figured this was something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately and it pertains to the general theme of my channel. I've only watched 7 minutes of this but I agree that his older videos when he started blowing up were much more enjoyable than his new ones that feel like reality tv almost. But I think it does make sense that mrbeast gets the title genius because he is one of the best people to ever play the game of youtube, I don't personally think that makes him a genius but he definitely is one of the hardest working youtubers ever and deserves a ton of credit. Ignore the people talking shit here, awesome video. 👍
I guess I slightly agree, and I'm very cynical about MrBeast in general, but I'm not sure if I agree with everything in this video. What's sad but true is that the bad story decisions your critiquing here have gotten him more views. You're forgetting a lot of what made him successful: He actually looked at the algorithm and figured it out. I'm as cynical as I am about MrBeast not because I don't think he's making decisions that aren't helping his success, but precisely for the opposite reason. If that makes sense. The real tragedy here is that good story telling doesn't always equate to what sells
"Not even a 1000 subs"... Did you know that mrbeast also started with 0 subs? What if everyone immediately left his videos as "he didn't even have a 1000 subs"? Can you name som trends and ideas he created? Just interested
