The fact that you're moving the hopper backwards and forwards with each shot seems to help with feeding, I'll pick up the 30 dollar blaster if only to tear it apart 😃
So, what you are gonna want to do is go to Walmart, go to the toy aisle, and find the "adventure force aeon pro ultimate dart blaster" and then purchase it.
Looks like we would have to 'Blue-Print' them, to make them perform consistently. And by 'Blue-Print' I mean, take them apart, aligning the Flywheels and possibly shimming the Cages so the Flywheels, the Cages, and Barrels are in alignment so that the Blasters can reach what they were supposed to be able to do.
Definitely interested to see what mod options we can come up with for this one. The extremely loud feeding mechanism could hopefully be improved, of course the lipo makeover is mandatory, but also hoping a 3d printed hopup option is on your priority list. Also, at this point, hoping there is more demand for potentially getting aftermarket motors and wheels for this ammo type. Also, don't know how OSHA would feel about having loose hyper balls around the warehouse :p

An average of 100 with a standard deviation of 21? No way does that add up to 110 fps. Oh, and Luke, your intro sounded like an advert for a commercial channel. Might put people off. Just a thought.
My initial casual testing was higher than the 20-round average. The 100fps on screen is definitely the real number.the lowest performer of the series so far.

Rival was the first time I bought a nerf gun in my adult life (4 years ago). I wouldn’t be watching this video if it wasn’t for rival. I’m really interested in hyper though. I can’t wait to see them modded!
I know Hyper hasn’t quite (no pun intended) lived up to the hype. I can still seeing the blasters in the line being really fun in something like an indoor arena with a blacklight, especially if the rubberized rounds glow in the dark.

I do not agree with you. Hasbro has made enough experience with the Rival line... They only need to transport it to smaller rounds... Hyper is a cheap cheap version of the Rival series... Put Hyper rounds in a Perses and you have way more fun...

Well its all experimental. One has a hop up(rush). One has a tight barrel(siege) and one has a wide barrel(mach). And they most likely only have less ammo than max because they work better with less

You'll encounter more problems. If you're a beginner to flywheelers, I would recommend a Nerf Stryfe or an Adventure Force Spectrum. Both are fun to use stock, but can easily modded and repaired as you get more involved in the hobby.
1:20 - I could think of a couple new ideas... say a hopper fed rival pistol and a hopper fed rival shotgun with slamfire... it could launch the new Rival Hopper line...
That ammo is gonna be a nightmare for outdoor usage, alot of its gonna be massive waste, and since they're small and rubber it'll be a serious hazard for animals. Not to mention that alot of people, especially parents, won't appreciate these going literally everywhere in a house environment. At least rival is foam and alot bigger, making them easier to retrieve from grassy areas. These are probably only going to be used in indoor combat areas, where you can actually retrieve a large majority of the ammo without causing a massive hazard to the environment. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually banned for outdoor usage.

well, after watching different reviews from many diff reviewers, i personally have no interest in this ammo. there is min accuracy and best of luck finding anything after fire. i hope for more rival based..ultra is just bad on my own tests, the rocket barrel is better than all of hasbro blasters..and the hyper is just a ammo cash grab. good luck on any outdoor ammo find with the bounce and sink. i am not impressed..
That thing is sonically completely unpleasant. Also not sure how much I like having any crossover between our hobby and paintball or airsoft. That said though, pretty auspicious start compared to the past few years so I'm optimistic.
Yeah, it's hard not to compare this to 'Ultra' and 'Elite 2.0', I fear I'm giving hasbro reviews on a new scale. After so many lousy releases, this feels like a win, even if it's flawed.

I should not have posted that comment before watching the end of the video... It's not even as good as I expected it to be, as a flagship for Hyper. I know I am being very tough on Hasbro, but being the most famous company on the entire foam flinging industry, with many years of experience, I get disappointed when I see them not even trying to achieve perfection in their craft. I feel like they will always leave room for improvement, just to give a slightly better version of the same thing next year, and so on, and so forth. Luke looks so awkward firing it, it sounds weak, looks horrifically inaccurate, has a hugely inconsistent rate of fire, and had to be shaken like a pan of Jiffy Pop to feed. The only upsides are increased capacity and muzzle velocity.. It seems like a huge step back from Rival. Seems like something went wrong at Hasbro.

It sounds... like utter sh1t... the ammo can't be environmentally friendly at all... the firing consistency and firing rate is misery inducing... why when there's rival and gel blasters would you need this middle ground with the worst of both worlds (i.e. terrible rivalesque accuracy and the one shot only ammo of gel?).
It sounds like a stuck pig. Horrible blaster imo. They could have made it look amazing with a smaller rechargeable battery. But no, chonky is what they give us. Rubbish performance anyways.

Based on what reviewers have said about "Hyper" rounds, I'm guessing that "Sticky Balls" is the reason they don't include full ammo capacity.

It’s actually not that loud…the flywheels are just quiet.
After more testing, I think it 100% needs some motor options...

They are definitely tough to find in anything but hard surface and freshly cut grass.
IMRs with D size adapters would also be a decent option

I do think this is leagues better than elite 2.0 and ultra.
It sounds... like utter sh1t... the ammo can't be environmentally friendly at all... the firing consistency and firing rate is misery inducing... why when there's rival and gel blasters would you need this middle ground with the worst of both worlds (i.e. terrible rivalesque accuracy and the one shot only ammo of gel?).

I am just not a fan of Hyper. I think Nerf is just trying to release another unique ammo for the sole purpose of a cash grab. Similar to Ultra.
I can't say you're wrong here...time will tell whether it's truly a good offering for us.
