It’s crazy to think that someone made this deck by accident
In my experience, all good combo decks started doing a completely different (and worse) plan
It all comes down to the MDFC card and how it interacts when going exile. If the side 1 was not the artifact this would never work and if the person was not plaing online and see that it flips over they would not have ever realized the combo.
MtG is like anything else. All the greatest discoveries were made by mistake
It's even crazier to imagine someone actually planning somehing like that out

To be fair wish is just absurd. It's not hard to win when you have access to outside game.
At the start of your demo combo, the first time you activate Nykthos, you don't tap 2 before tapping Nykthos. Doesn't appear to affect the ultimate going-off of it all.

The production value on these videos is just getting higher and higher, and I'm allll about it. Keep up the good work Jon (and team), that was awesome.
A very unintuitive thing about the chain veil, although unecessary in this particular combo, is that activating it multiple times in a turn also gives u additional PW ability activations.
This feels like a Yugioh Combo.
It's the other way around, actually: the Yugioh combos look like the manliest MTG combos.
One of the first infinite mana combos I've ever seen was back in Ice Ages, and it used 2 Mana Flare, Fastbond, Hallowed Ground and Glacial Chasm to infinitely recurr a Plains and net 1 white mana every time.
Ah, you should really include Wakeroot Elemental in the deck. With enough devotion and it goes infinite with nyktos alone.
I remember Meryn playing a simular deck way back when poineer was annonced and it seems to be worth revisiting!

I have actually recreated this deck in a SIMILAR fashion for historic arena.
8 mana dorks
4 old growth
4 steel leaf
4 caliver knight elemental
4 craterhoof
4 storm the festival
4 kiora
20 Forrest
4 Nyx
This is the core of the deck; 56 cards. 4 of them, I have flip flopped around trying new things to find a balance of what I like.
I have tried it with CoCo (collected company), but I found it often removes what I need to win I.E craterhoof, Nyx or Kiora.
For awhile I ran into mill decks which I was using Gae's blessing which essentially shut off those decks.
Currently I am using Elven foresight. To speed up the process to what I need to win.
My version of this deck is way more stompy green beats your face in over combo.

fancy deck , i made a mono green deck from that nykthos block back in the day , 4 planeswalkers and all big dudes was a fun deck
This video is a hilarious watch after 4-0ing a Prelim on mtgo with the post aftermath version of the deck. Polukranos Reborn is just some insane redundancy that helps you stabilize against phoenix, Haywire Mite gives the sideboard answers to any enchantment/artifact, Woodcaller Automaton gets you 2 devotion and a Nykthos untap, The Stone Brain negates the need for black mana while also being crazy good against combo decks (including the mirror), and Cityscape Leveler can turn Karns into wins.

How to get the black mana to do the mill spell?
The newest combo involves Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset and The Chain Veil. Less convoluted than this, as well, and good in the mirror

Every Pretty Deece continues to slightly different, but also super cool!
Fun thing about The Chain Veil, if you activate it 10 times, a new planeswalker can activate its ability 10 times due to how The Chain Veil is worded so you could just activate all the planeswalkers in infinite amount of times.

An easy question: if you had a card as necromentia (Choose a card name other than a basic land card name. Search target opponent’s graveyard, hand, and library for any number of cards with that name and exile them...)

Cool to see a combo explanation video again. One tiny little nitpick is that I feel like the music is a bit heavy. Not saying you should just go back to the old music, but it had a nice upbeat tone to it that I think made the videos flow a bit better. Either way keep up the great the work :)

Haven't you forgotten to tap two mana for the first Nykthos activation after playing it?
Not that it matters, but don't we need to pay 2 mana to activate Nykthos at 07:00?
I love this deck because as a lover of pioneer, it is kinda the most pioneer deck ever. In an effort to make a value pile without having too many colours discovers a 3 card combo between a planeswalker meant for artefact decks, a planeswalkee meant for draft, and a literal manefestation of complexity creep. I love this deck, I hate this deck. In exactly the same way, I hate this format, but I LOOVVEEE IT 10000000x more.
If you do another little deck explaination like this could we hear about the 5 and 4 colour value piles in pioneer and their differences? I play pioneer in paper at my LGS with my trustee esper control and I can never tell the difference between Niv to Light, omanth bullshit and hiddenstrings.

This deck reminds me of KCI in modern where you have an entire deck built to access and abuse a busted mana-producing card that wins by comboing off with the most ludicrous nonsense combo in the game.

I used to think I didn't like Jon Corpora because he roasted my friend's weird deck (and the friend himself) in a tournament report, but years later I've come to realize he's Pretty Deece

i love lotus field combo, its either nobody cares or its g3 afer a long g2 , going to time and the whole store is watching you tap 3, tap 3 untap with strings i have 4 floating.....

Thank you Tcgplayer for allowing two seller's to rip me off and then terminate my account because l I got mad that you broke your own policy by giving them an extra week.
Only reason this works is the Online game showed that it flips back to artifact when going exile. NO ONE would have caught that because MDFC card rules are often forgotten.
Ahh, so this is the Pioneer version of the infamous "Teferi Veil" combo in Commander! (Which btw is THE most complicated combo in Commander on a competitive level, i.e. in cEDH) Although this one is not the first of its kind, it's still extremely impressive if it's legitly discovered by accident! 👍
Also 1:06 that's Billy Herrington/"Aniki" from the Gachimuchi memes. I say it's not that you're "too old or too lame". It's just that this series of memes hasn't been that popular in the West, except for circles that are into Japanese culture.
