- Nicholas Rodney Drake - known as Nick - passed away an incredible 50 years ago today, aged just 26.
The three albums he released during his lifetime (Five Leaves Left, 1969; Bryter Layter, 1970; Pink Moon, 1972) were contemporary flops - they were probably too extraordinary. Fame and honor only came to him in the 1990s from the folk scene and of course through commercial exploitation.
