Yana Caves is a popular tourist destination located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. It is just 27km from Kumta. The Yana Caves are known for their unique limestone rock formations and ancient temples. The two main rock formations at Yana are called Mohini Shikhara and Bhairaveshwara Shikhara.
These massive rock formations are surrounded by dense forests and are considered sacred in Hindu mythology. The Bhairaveshwara Shikhara is dedicated to Lord Shiva and attracts pilgrims and tourists alike.
The Yana Caves are situated in the Sahyadri Range of the Western Ghats, providing a picturesque and serene environment. The area is also known for its biodiversity, and the journey to the caves involves a trek through the lush greenery.
