Some other really good rock songs you can find in anime are from the bands Myth And Roid, they made the op for Re:Zero and many other anime aswell as a bunch lf originals.

This honestly one of the best anime OP just for the fact that it is in English and not Engrish. This sounds like the type of song that could climb to #1 on the rock charts in the US.

Coldrain is a post-hardcore/metalcore band, even though the members are japanese, they don't fall under j-rock, also the singer is half american/half japanese so they have a very western sound.

Hey, if you wanna know more about coldrain (yeah I did do a comment like this on the original MV, just thought I'd do something similar here):
They're a Japanese post-hardcore/metalcore band from Nagoya, and they've released 6 albums (2 japan exclusive, still available on international Spotify etc.) and 3 EPs.
They're a 5 piece and are:
Masato (lead vocals + screaming)
Y.K.C (lead guitar + programming)
RxYxO (bass + backing vocals)
Sugi (rhythm guitar + backing vocals)
Katsuma (drums)
The guy who screams on the bridge and with Masato in the final chorus is Ryo Kinoshita, lead vocalist of Crystal Lake who are another great metalcore band, he and Masato also collabed on the Crystal Lake track The Circle, so go check that out too, he's also done stuff with Spiritbox and a couple other bands too.
Anyway, if you like what you've seen so far, go check out Coldrain's 2019 album The Side Effects (which Mayday is on), along with their 2015 album VENA as entry points to the world of coldrain, and enjoy the music.

the other guy says that the band is a metalcore band, i guess its true, but this song is for sure a post hardcore song.
@Ylimreh ye i can hear the death growl, but having a single death growl breakdown doesnt make them metalcore, tbh im sure you'll agree that nowadays its quite blurry, which one is post hardcore, which are metalcore, thus, such view of "metalcore is just a heavier posthardcore" grows. this band is a prime example of phcore bands who r just shoving metalcore breakdown in the middle of their posthardcore song. Imo pure post hardcore is sleeping with sirens, and the best example of pure metal core atm is Ice nine kills with their latest album "Silverscream" (which is amazing btw), even ice nine kills uses metal breakdown but it doesnt make them any less core and more metal, they are still core band. i can see why the guitar riffs can be considered "metalcore" probably because its similar to architects' doomsday, but its just the other aspects of the song are too "mild". the vocal is mild there arent enough screams/growl, overal execution on top of that nice metalcore-ish riff is still a bit too pop-y.
