A summer evening on The South Downs and a Riverside Walk

- It was 27 degrees during the day yesterday and too hot to go out, so we decided to walk in the evening on The Downs just before the sun set and it was so so beautiful up there amongst the golden barley. The walk through the woods was cooling and we entered The Downs in the most beautiful light. It was a joyful walk.
Today wasn't as hot, around 20 degrees with a nice breeze by the river. Our walk took us from the old toll bridge down to the rail bridge and Ky enjoyed running along the mud flaps - as you will see!

I see there was a windsurfer, whilst the dogs were playing. I used to windsurf back in the 80s, when not many women did it. We had a family villa in Menorca, and I had a board out there that I used to windsurf on. Before that, I water skied, and was a water ski champ in Binibeca one year, as being the fastest! This was another life time away - when you think, I can not even get out of the house now to walk to my local village, which is only 1 mile away. Lovely to watch Ky and yourselves having so much fun, it lifts my spirits, thank you Lynn. Blessings and love from Jilly & Madge. xxx

Beautiful views up on the downs they will be cutting that corn any day now by the looks of it, bet there is a lot of wild life in it. I think we all felt like cooling off after the two very warm days! The stream was a bit cleaner than the mud flats on the river. The downs looking very golden in the late afternoon light. Nice two doggie walks there....
