Hi laura, In England we teach Ruth Miskin Read Write Inc programme. This is a very popular phonics scheme at schools. The speed sound session to learn to read and write are separated in to Set 1, 2 and 3 sounds. It takes time but all are easy to teach.
Hello and thank you very much for your videos, which help me a lot! And well done for all the work you do and the time you put into these videos! I hope I'll soon be able to speak proper English with good pronunciation 🙏🇬🇧
The English teachers from the US speak language that I can easily understand and the native Americans speak language that I can easily understand (for the most part), the teachers from the UK speak language that I can easily understand, yet the native British people speak language that I can not understand (for the most part). Thanks for the video!
I just started watching the videos and I loved them so much and above all they have helped me, I feel more confident. Thank you for the videos Greetings from Mexico
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing video! It was not only enjoyable but also incredibly inspiring. I truly appreciate the effort and creativity that went into making it. It left a lasting impression, and I’m sure I’ll be coming back to watch it again.
Without the intention to offend anyone, we must ask ourselves: Does it exist such a thing as an RP accent? Where in the UK speak like that? What percentage of British people speak with this accent? I repeat, no offence; it's only an academic question. Thank you for your videos. I learn a lot with them.
Hey! It’s a good question. A lot of people talk like this in the UK and a lot of my students often wish to speak with a ‘British accent’ so I try to teach them modern RP as it’s the most neutral, globally recognised accent that is still used by native speakers.
@@smashingenglishThank you for the answer. I know the importance of practicing these sounds. The first thing I did to "relearn" English was this. It took me four months to practice every sound of the IPA alphabet, but I sometimes think that RP accent is a standar accent used for teaching to non-native speakers. Otherwise how could you teach people to speak English? I mean, native English teacher. It would be a mess if every native English teacher used the accent from the region they were born in.
I like this accent the most, I don't like american nasal accent from some states, I also don't like when americans pronounce water like wader but when british pronounce wo uh it's hilarious as well especially jason statham accent
