the combat looks so amazingly cinematic. I wonder what actually buttons are being pressed. Is it just that the block animations are incredibly beautiful and that the player is just holding block?
I think this is like "attack to block". The player and the enemies attack at the same time create a swordplay like that, kinda similar to that old matrix game
@@lucifeers3219 I guess it's just holding a guard button to block. Like in Sekiro, Ghost of Tsushima etc. Or Metal Gear Rising when defelcting bullets. Attacks are even faster in Phantom Blade. At 1:18, that animation of taking out his sword might be the best I have ever seen. The sword moves as his arm hits it before he can grab it. That attention to detail is pretty impressive.
It's important to keep in mind that this entire cinematic is animated, it's not actual gameplay. When a developer choses to make a fake gameplay cinematic, it usually means that the actual gameplay is not trailer worthy.

@@antonioballve9779 Obviously its influenced by Sekiro and dark souls. But it still looks unique and amazing! Graphics, style, art and fighting animations + blood seem so cool!
Alright day 1 purchase for me then!!
This one stood out to me a lot. The swordplay looks amazing
If this turns out to be timed event gameplay I will cry.
Definitivamente será uno de mis juegos favs❤
The tons of authentic details and references in this game are off the roof that only true Chinese swordsman fans and culture enthuisiasts can tell. The Lion Dance at 0:52, the Sichuan Opera Face Changing at 1:10, the niche weapon, Xue Di Zi (basically a rounded throwing guillotine) the boss wields at 1:35. Man I feel like I'm even more excited about this game than Wukong: Black Myth lol .
I don't see enough people talking about the lion dance. It looked amazing. Super interested to see how the actual fight is
I honestly loved the Jian fighting techniques.
Reminds me of this one colossus shadow of the colossus 0:52
@MatMate Original game: The protagonist is severely injured with only 66 days of life, and he is being pursued by his own assassin organization, which is skilled at manipulating corpses to become ghost soldiers (people without faces appearing in the CG)
@@matmate5795 Obviously its influenced by Sekiro and dark souls. But it still looks unique and amazing! Graphics, style, art and fighting animations + blood seem so cool!😂
This game was the best game in the showcase. We already knew what to expect from Final Fantasy XVI and Spiderman 2, which were also great.
FACTS BUT spidey and then still surprised me a bit and dat will always be welcomed
Dragons Dogma 2 will be more polished than this game.
Yeah this was one of the outstanding games for me all the rest were poor in my opinion
Is this game an exclusive
@@brightoskar9469 yep likely

Blade & Soul too 😆

Ninja gaiden..

I love the fluidity of combat and the graphics in this game. Totally awesome.

Combat is from the PS2 game Bujingai. This is nothing new.
I love how flashy the combat system is. It reminds me of 70s and 80s martial arts movies :)
But I hope there's actual depth to the combat mechanics and real mastery is required to look this cool. Because I don't want just to look like a badass, I want to feel like one.
Oh
Very well put
Pressing buttons makes you feel badass?
@@brabea23if you're timing is perfect, yes ;).
It's the same for SIFU, if u ever played that.
@@Snappat Sekiro would be a better example IMO.
This looks like made for me. Hope it delivers.
Will it come to Steam? There was an animation called Samurai Jack, it reminded me of that. The stage performances, the way the game works and the fighting moves are amazing. Please bring this game to PC.
Finally a next level combat system in the gaming industry. The fights look phenomenal.
Notice the dilapidated temple from sekiro in the final scene? I think sekiro was next level combat mechanics no?
Eerr, have you played Sekiro, or any FromSoft game for that matter?
@@cylop224 Sekiro probably has the most interesting combat system for these kinds of games. The rest of the soulslike have pretty simple but solid combat systems.

A surprise from the showcase, fluid and fast paced, excited to see more from this
As a DMC veteran this is pretty much my kind of game.
Literally gave me vibes of Sekiro, Nioh, Ninja Gaiden, and Ghost of Tsushima all in one and I’m all for it, I’ll definitely be getting this when it drops😭❤️
And a little bit of MGRR with those dance-like movements too. Truly wonder how this will actually play
Very well said I was thinking the same reminds more of sekiro tho but your right 😊
@@boldone66 actually that too, you right, it seems like they took inspiration from a bunch of ninja and samurai games and made it into one massive game
@@YamiJai Yep and that's *exactly* what I've been wanting from a game in sooooo long. I'm excited!
Elden ring Ranni intro as well
This Game looks so DOPE!
If bloodborne and ghost of tsushima had a baby
In my opinion this is by far the most interesting game of the showcase!
This game looks like it could’ve been released 7 years ago and it’s one of those games that just age perfectly. I love how the animations are clean. No unnecessary 100000 particles. Just swords hitting each other.
If this is actual gameplay, then this is an immediate pre order. But I'm always skeptic wenn they don't Show the Hud or any
Kind of menu.
Weird of me I know but I stand by it.
People here are so sceptical. I love it.
It is our honor to be part of the event, we did not expect so much attention, please follow us and stay tuned for the next milestone🙂, maybe very soon...
This looks very promising !
I hope the trailer gameplay is how it will look on release, if not better
I AM EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!!!

Stop the cap.
Wow…. The fighting mechanics look very fluid! Finally a game that is up to par with modern gaming… the theme and artwork looks amazing too
I don’t even know that this comment means
we're not even get "Where winds Meet" and then this game appeared
also, this fluid combat it's not something new. Jet Li : Rise to Honor (2004) on PS2 actually use this kind of Fluid Combat System. Bujingai : Forbidden City also has fluid parry mechanic
To those who played Bujingai back in PS2 era.
Let's hope they give us that again with this game❤
the combat looks so amazingly cinematic. I wonder what actually buttons are being pressed. Is it just that the block animations are incredibly beautiful and that the player is just holding block?
I'm so afraid that it's gonna be one button is doing a bunch of stuff and he's not chaining combos together
It would be complicated to press attack button that many times.
Then they could put a stun bar system if you use it too much.
my guess it's maybe the counter after doing block and spam button like dragonball games
Oh man this looks absolutely insane! I really hope they deliver, the combat is mindblowing
hope the game be same as trailer😒
It blew my mond
I’m excited to see what the hud looks like over gameplay and if you’ll be able to turn it off
The combat is so sick 💀 bro..🔥🔥🔥
At 1:18, that animation of taking out his sword might be the best I have ever seen. The sword moves as his arm hits it before he can grab it. That attention to detail is pretty impressive.
sounds like geralt's voice
We shall see if that translates in the speed of gameplay
Let's see if it will be in game
That caught my eye!
@@chocho6766 If it ain't in the game, then all their trailers should be mere teaser trailers. Because that would be the ultimate tease.
The boss with the flying guillotine was such a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to this. Hopefully it will be released soon
Brought back memories of "The Flying Guillotines" kung fu movie.
And the boondocks.?
@@Grizzleback07classic movie
Look at The Perciever and Where Winds Meet
They are PS5 GAMES
It's important to keep in mind that this entire cinematic is animated, it's not actual gameplay.
When a developer choses to make a fake gameplay cinematic, it usually means that the actual gameplay is not trailer worthy.
This is the best animation I have ever seen in the video game, so fluid so clear, and the sound, especially of the swords clashing, and than the music, never been this hyped about the video game.
man, that combat movement is great. If you grew up watching chinese Kungfu movies and episodic series from 80s to early 2000s, all those motion and action are familiar. Hopefully it will be like that in release.
Ya and from the trailer the english voice actors are just as bad as those old movies
Combat looks like Sekiro taken to the next level. This is insane, definitely keeping an eye on this.
No more Sekiro comparisons, it's like Ninja Gaiden
It resembles more Wo Long obviously on Sekiro you have 3 moves a couple of arts that are automated and the same parry for every single thing.
@@dontbothertoreply9755 less about the variety of moves you have and more about the way you use them based on the enemy
Looks very boring. The textures and lighting look trash as well
@@mastersonic707With all of the new DOA games, I'm still surprised there's no new Ninja Gaiden game...

The weapon at 1:37 is The Flying Guillotine, widely used by Embroidered Uniform Guard during thr Ming Dynasty (myth says it was invented by one of the Ming emperors). Designed to attached to the enemies head and decapitate them.
Yes. I remember the weapon from the old movies back in the day.
You mean this was a REAL Weapon Back in old China? I just know this Weapon from Old KungFu Movies
@@jihad4realniz yes its real watch the video "The Flying Guillotine" for detail explain
it was also the weapon that rufus crabmiser of the hateocracy used to decapitate bushido brown on the freeman's front lawn in the boondocks

One of the most interesting parts of the showcase
This looks incredible
Trailer goes hard. REALLY hoping the combat delivers!
The combat is everything ! Fast paced and fluid gameplay

A game trailer based on knowing nothing about the game before watching it hasn’t caught my eye like this in a while, dope aesthetics, awesome looking combat (I’m assuming it’ll be similar to Arkham series just with more fluent animations to counter etc but I hope it delivers cause it looks sick
They've said it's going to be very similiar to a soulsbourne, but they aren't going "full throttle" on the difficulty. Music to my ears. I LOVE the vibe of those games, but the punishment has always been a bit much for me.
@@TrumpIsTheRootOfAllEvil
Yeah those Soulsborne games can be too much n some of them lack animations
@@TrumpIsTheRootOfAllEvil People use "soulsborne" for everything these days. It's like people don't understand that soulsborne are supposed to be methodical with an emphasis on position based with punishing recovery animations on attacks. Anything more "over the top" and you get Ninja Gaiden or DMC, which came out many years before even Demon Souls.
It reminds more Sekiro more than anything
