Hola J Linn 🤗🤗 This state deserves much more tourism, has been overpowered by Quintana Roo (Where Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum are located). The food is the thing we love the most, but the people in Yucatan makes this state a gem in Mexico. Saludos J 🤗🥰

Thanks for sharing! Is it safe to drive around yucatan peninsula? Planning to a solo road trip for 3 weeks and I’m concerned about horrors stories ie carjacking and police scams. 😮
Hola *Nas* 🙌 Thank YOU for watching and commenting 🙏. Yes, it's pretty safe, you will see quite a few police or military checkpoints which is becoming very usual. We haven't heard anything about carjackings personally, but police scams quite a few stories; we always recommend not showing any signs of being rushed when they pull you over, and if they say the need to apply a "fine" because "X, Y or Z" you will tell them: Ok, I'd love to go to the police station to pay it, typically they want to get a bribe, but letting them know you're willing to go to the police station, they will not be able to do it, and in 99% of the cases will let you go.
