Eventually I had less stay-in-bed-sads days, and went back to college and finished my degree.
The best thing about the bullet journal (for me), is you do not need to use it everyday. You can use it A LOT for a month, little the next month, but it doesn't waste space, still gives you the big picture, and lets you even change up how you use it half way through the year. Personally, I just like making the weekly spreads and justifying my stationery purchases to myself 🤷♀️ but it did help when I was saving money! It was very satisfying to see my weekly logs of how much I was adding to my total and having to write down all my purchases helped me avoid frivolous spending. *AND* for some people, including myself, the act of writing, pen to paper, helps with remembering things. When I can visualize the page it's easier to keep track of the things I'm supposed to do. On a different note, I absolutely do not do it every week😂
I love bullet journaling! It helps me figure out what the most important events and tasks of the day are, and helps me keep track of how much I’ve been working on my long-term goals
Bullet Journaling only made me realize I want to do too much and I cant get it done. So then things pile up and pile up and I felt overwhelmed by the amount of things I couldnt complete or get done.
The RUclips algorithm just gave me this video, and I’m so glad it did! I’d never heard about bullet journaling. It sounds like a great idea - it’s something else that I can do to help me feel productive without having to actually get up off the couch and DO something! Thanks!
I started on the first of March. I have an appointment to talk to a psychiatrist about potential ADHD on the 30th. Whatever the results, I think the journal has helped me. But I refuse to shorten bullet journal.
I do love goodnotes, I love that I can move around things and have whatever color I want It's also really adorable that journaling has actually helped you
OMG! I love your sense of humor! Laughed out loud numerous times watching this video! Keep it up! You're great! I love that you include your parents in your videos!
I made a nice bullet journal last summer, poured a lot of time into trying to make it look nice but still functional for me. I used it a lot for two months, but then someone broke my car and stole my backpack, which contained the journal. Setting it up all over again would have been so much work so I just ended up giving it up. Maybe I will try it again in the future.
"If you feel like you're always stressed..." I kind of have the opposite problem. I seem to subscribe to the Douglas Adams attitude regarding deadlines ... "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." Okay, I'm not that bad, but I almost never feel any urgency regarding projects. I usually get things done in a timely fashion, but that is more a matter of just knowing I have to get them done. Is that what others describe as urgency?
Urgency usually comes because you're invested in what you're trying to produce. You've either not given yourself enough time, or you never felt you had enough time in the first place. If you don't care about the results, it's much easier to consider it a task complete and move on. Or just as simply, to not do it because something is a higher priority. That's my take on it, though 🤷🏻♀️
It's weird. I've been watching your videos for almost a decade now. You've helped me to develop my world view, and I find myself speaking similarly to how you write your scripts. I realise why I am critical of what I am, and how to deal with my garbage. My little message to you, as always, appreciate you and the work you put into the vids, mate. Appreciate it.
Haven't seen you in a while, but missed you! Your explanation of the bullet journal was more helpful than videos I've seen that are dedicated to the topic.
I love that you tried out the bujo method and I'm glad that parts of it work for you. That's the whole point : get inspiration to try out new ideas and keep what works for you.
I know that ur parents aren’t getting divorced but since there’s like a 2% chance and we just got out of a shit year in which we had a pandemic And murder hornets AND we can’t never have anything nice, I beg u! Please put a disclaimer up or something. My broken heart can’t take it 😭
Bujo you do the way you do it. For some it’s about keeping track of life. Others like you to keep track of todo. It suppose to be simple. You track and rewrite what important. Choosing intentionally what you really want to do versus what you thought you wanted to do. It does relieve the stress of feeling like you always need to do things. One key advantage of paper versus digital is you can flip through pages for random days to reflect back on. Or even flip back to the day exactly a year ago. It suppose to help you see your patterns of habits/ emotion. Memory alone is not reliable since it can be changed to even to the point of false memory.
I love the quality of your videos Craig. You've clearly taken a lot of time to craft them well. Informative, professional and riddled with genuinely funny jokes. Thank you for putting in such hard work. Quick suggestion for habits. I noticed none of them were consistent. Have you heard of habit levels? Eg. For cutting sugar: Min = No sugar in 1 meal Medium = No sugary snacks Max = No sugar Having this system really helps in maintaining consistency which has been proven to boost motivation and guard against abandonment. Give it a try if you're having trouble. Love your work, God bless!
I just discovered this channel and I don't remember the last time I found someone so effortlessly funny. "We should've never sent you to college" I died.
I failed two classes in college before finding bullet journals, with that organization i never failed again, about a year after i started using it, i started noticing that i was way ahead of my friends with homework and getting a lot of free time.
Same, but not 2X speed, what with the OTHER productivity vlogs running in two other screens I’ve found I can only absorb three simultaneous conversations at 1.25; 1.5 if they’re slow talkers.
YES!! I just did this last week! I was also able to get a year of vids planned. Usually I’m bogged down in details and struggle to achieve my end goal (or “big picture”). I also love, like you said, of being able to “zoom in and out”.
I don't do this myself, Because i have bad habits, but i recommend this for literally everyone. Record what happens every day of your life. Even if you lose the journals one day, your memory for events and people in your life will be stronger.
I'm really late, and I'm not going through all 800+ comments to check if someone else mentioned this. But for me a mix between regular planners and bullet journals turned out most convenient. Search for goal planners or life planners. Ideally undated. They offer the same flexibility as bullet journals, but you don't have to make and write everything from scratch. Plus some of them help you out with identifying your goals, setting priorities, etc.
I really got into bullet journaling when I was in Uni, and it was simple and pretty, but then when I got busy it was the first thing I dropped. So I like the idea of making a digital one, and one that doesn’t have to be pretty 😅
Scribbling and scratchy handwriting make me both happy and productive. No need for fancy artwork. I hate pretty journals and all the channels that present their intricate monthly spread artwork.
I am soooo happy this worked for you!!! Different types of planning are good for different types of people, there is no wrong way ☺️ you do whatever works for you and tweak the things that don’t work 🥰 I love your videos!!
I would like to see a follow-up video for this in the end of the year about lessons learned: how has the bullet journal developed, what kind of format has been the best, did you end up to change the app, has this effected to your family's way of organising things... etc.
BBBOOOORRRRRIIIINNNGGGG! Seriously, until someone invents pencil and paper I can search for an exact phrase, series of words, or give me infinite freedom to rearrange ideas on the fly, digital > caveman pencils/pens/old school intractable knowledge
I started my own weekly version of bullet journaling... and I do it through a printed spreadsheet... another shocker I know! However I will say that it has greatly helped me work on the small side projects and things I don't want to do each week, as well as track how much time I spend on typical tasks.
I had the same reaction. I have not watched in years. The fact that the parents joke about it on camera blows my mind. Hopefully it means it’s amicable
I've been bullet journaling for a few years, and it has really worked for me; probably because it's so adaptable. I'm traditionally terrible at using calendars, planners, etc. I use mine pretty casually-it's not an artsy masterpiece. I just keep monthly calendar pages with important appointments & dates, and pages to track each of my goals for the year. It's low-maintenance. I credit my bullet journal for allowing me to actually achieve my New Year's resolutions each year.
The all-seeing all-knowing space baby in the center of the universe stage is overrated in my opinion but I still can't wait for you to reach that stage.
I tend to always watch your videos a couple of days or weeks after you post them. And when I finally watch em they always remind me of how freaking great you’re at making videos- I’m just glad I watch ‘em even tho’ it’s not as soon as they’re out. But yeah.. doing it this way just reminds me how great you are. The channel I’ve been longest subscribed to ❤️
I didn't know I needed this channel until today. Normal people doing fancy Instagram things is officially my favourite thing on RUclips. Except that cat playing chopsticks on a keyboard with chopsticks.
I’ve been curious, out of all the things you've tried over the years let's say for at least the past 3 years what have you decided to incorporate in your daily life as of today? If you’ve already made a video of this I apologize for missing it and can you tell me how long ago you made it so I can find it? Thanks 🤓
I started watching Wheezy Waiter in the early 2010's when I was a young teen. Now I am 24, and he remains to be one of my favorite RUclipsrs. He reminds me of a better era of RUclips, one in which I wish we were still in...
To give it a different spin; it seems that this applies the principles of a backlog/roadmap and sprint from the agile / scrum world to your day-to-day live. These are powerful tools and I did not think about applying them so neatly in a non-worklife fashion. Thank you! To give a bit more context; your "this year" plan is like a backlog - a loose collection of goals/improvements you want to achieve. Assigning these items to rough timeslots like months plans your endeavor. Your months become a "roadmap" to your success. The details which tasks will be done in which week/day translates to a sprint - a set of committed goals for a given, immediate timeframe.
Belly laughing at your parents' scenes. The divorce is obviously a joke... right? PS if it's real, I'm sorry slash I hope they find their desired happiness.
I've kept a bullet journal for almost 6 years now and I've converted many of my friends into also using them (only mildly successfully) and as someone with anxiety who is vaguely neurodivergent, the ability to keep track of what i need and want to do has saved my education career and completely transformed how I think about time. I have also used it as a way to keep mementos about how I've been changing as a person so I also compile playlists and keep track of tv shows I've been watching, games I've been playing and random lists of things I want to do, etc etc. The best thing about the bujo format is that you can completely change it to fit what You need. There's no right or wrong way to journal and if anybody tries to tell you so they're wrong
I am super grateful for this video! I have wanted to try bullet journaling but I have crappy handwriting and I am a scribbler of mistakes too. I never thought about using an electronic platform, thanks for trying and sharing with us. :)
I'm definitely one of the people who love bullet journaling! I've gone through phases where it's super helpful every day, and phases where I can check in every once in a while. The physical notebook helps me because I like making habit trackers and using dot pages in general, but I've definitely considered a digital version.

Anyone else concerned about Craig's parents? They're hilarious...but I prefer it when they call each other sweet cheeks and say nice things to each other. Because they're awesome and wholesome like that.
I’ve actually been trying to learn about bullet journaling in the past few weeks and sorta kinda started one around February. So I appreciate this video and seeing how it’s worked for an actual human being... I mean as opposed to those artsy journals most people share. I couldn’t possibly do it on an iPad or any electronic device. I love my pens and journals/notebooks. Tbh, I love stationery in general. But to add to the conversation of bullet journaling that you started in this video, I’ve certainly learned a lot since starting back Feb such as: 1. Moleskin notebooks are overpriced and overrated. Thin thin paper is no bueno. I used them because I bought them and simply wanted a reason to use them since I had them but they ghost a lot. 2. I started using a small pocket grid notebook but it is too small for bujo. Might work for some people but not me. 3. I realized as I started doing this that I used to have weekly planner but for some reason I forgot to keep that habit up. 4. It’s helped me realize what sort of tasks or stuff I tend to procrastinate a lot and it’s helped me just either do them or let go of those tasks. 5. Scheduling too many tasks in one day is a bad idea. I include a max of 3 tasks. 6. Sometimes I end up not doing a single task in day but I found that that doesn’t stress me out at all. I tend to justify it in my mind as “I had a lot going on emotionally so it’s okay that those things didn’t get done”. 7. When I do complete tasks, especially, when they’re unplanned I feel really good about it.
Just started my first bullet journal yesterday so was looking up tips and found this video. I love this guy! Instantly subscribed. The parents had me cracking up.
What I like about Bullet Journaling, is that it represents my life in a linear way. No store-bought planners with sections, just go to the next 2 clear pages to continue (called a spread) and keep going. If you need a spread for something like "notable quotes", create in the next spread. Use the index to tell what pages things are on. I'm in my second journal and going back to look at the first is interesting, like an archeological dig.
I thought about getting into bullet journaling but then I thought about how much anxiety I'd have by all the stuff I wouldn't get accomplished because I procrastinate or just too damn lazy to bother.
I love your sense of humor, and your parents! I am bullet journaling for the first time also. I think perhaps I'm too old to use the word bujo. My daughters rolled their eyes when I tried, as if I were trying, unsuccessfully, to be cool. I'm leaving out the daily pages - too much work. Keeping the monthly pages to keep track of stuff. I do love using artwork to make my journal look nice and to improve my art on a regular basis. Good luck on your continued journaling journey, and tell your parents I wish them both happiness! :)

"I live in a digital world, and I'm a digital girl" LMAO😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Insaaane, I also started this month and also have a psychiatrist appointment on the 30th to discuss potential adhd!! Wtf?! Hahaha
I have Adhd . I hope you get your symptoms figured out.
I too, refuse to shorten bullet journal. I believe in them, but I'm not that crazy 🤪 good luck!
Unrequested update: I indeed have adhd (inattentive) and am now on Strattera and Ritalin 😂 Any tips for figuring out if they work?
@@jadevt1939 give it time. Take the meds every day don't take a break from it.
I do love goodnotes, I love that I can move around things and have whatever color I want
It's also really adorable that journaling has actually helped you
Get a $1 notebook in walmart and do it without putting too much effort
I use a notebook and just scribble notes. I love my scribbles in all their untidy glory!
Bullet journalling is just making list-making complicated..

"If you feel like you're always stressed..."
I kind of have the opposite problem. I seem to subscribe to the Douglas Adams attitude regarding deadlines ... "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."
Okay, I'm not that bad, but I almost never feel any urgency regarding projects.
As a person who grew up in Milwaukee, "Seinfeld but in Kenosha" is probably the funniest joke I've ever heard ever
You appeared randomly in my recommended, I like your personality. So I have subbed.
The image of Braveheart whipping out his bullet journal mid battle is giving me big Sharpe with his map vibes :')
Eg. For cutting sugar:
Min = No sugar in 1 meal
Medium = No sugary snacks
Max = No sugar
Having this system really helps in maintaining consistency which has been proven to boost motivation and guard against abandonment. Give it a try if you're having trouble.
Love your work,
God bless!
"congratulations on your attention span, by the way," he says while I watch at 1.5 speed while also looking at my phone 😶😶
2x speed for me
Same, but not 2X speed, what with the OTHER productivity vlogs running in two other screens I’ve found I can only absorb three simultaneous conversations at 1.25; 1.5 if they’re slow talkers.
I did anticipate the last “coffee” there. And when it came, I still had a good laugh 😂
Same I involuntary laughed really out loud for some reason at the coffee part and scared my roommate in the other room😂
I really got into bullet journaling when I was in Uni, and it was simple and pretty, but then when I got busy it was the first thing I dropped. So I like the idea of making a digital one, and one that doesn’t have to be pretty 😅
I started using Notion to do my bullet journaling and I absolutely love it.
Scribbling and scratchy handwriting make me both happy and productive. No need for fancy artwork.
I hate pretty journals and all the channels that present their intricate monthly spread artwork.
I would like to thank the RUclips algorithm gods for recommending me one of your videos, love your content! 😁
I am soooo happy this worked for you!!! Different types of planning are good for different types of people, there is no wrong way ☺️ you do whatever works for you and tweak the things that don’t work 🥰 I love your videos!!
"Careful, there's a beverage here, man!" Thanks for the dude quote... and the video.
I would like to see a follow-up video for this in the end of the year about lessons learned: how has the bullet journal developed, what kind of format has been the best, did you end up to change the app, has this effected to your family's way of organising things... etc.
There’s this amazing invention called ‘pencil’ it’s so cool because you can like write stuff but like erase it as well. It’s totally sick :)
Craig: As you guys know, my parents are getting divorced-
Me, behind on WheezyWaiter videos: .......what 🥺
me 2
but if they don't vibe together so be it
they are still cool people
I think
I had the same reaction. I have not watched in years. The fact that the parents joke about it on camera blows my mind. Hopefully it means it’s amicable
@@kimchong4539 lol they're just joking
Is that a Tila Tubby reference?
I tend to always watch your videos a couple of days or weeks after you post them. And when I finally watch em they always remind me of how freaking great you’re at making videos- I’m just glad I watch ‘em even tho’ it’s not as soon as they’re out. But yeah.. doing it this way just reminds me how great you are. The channel I’ve been longest subscribed to ❤️
Craig's parents has become the entertaining thing I wasn't expecting to be this good this year, so far.
You should do a video about capsule wardrobes/having a uniform.
"Congratulations on your attention span"
Nah I'm just high bro
Just seeing the demeanor of your parents explains so much about your impeccable humor. I love them
Belly laughing at your parents' scenes.
Your parents are hilarious, really explains why you're so funny as well
I am super grateful for this video! I have wanted to try bullet journaling but I have crappy handwriting and I am a scribbler of mistakes too. I never thought about using an electronic platform, thanks for trying and sharing with us. :)
Did anyone else check the timestamp when he said congratulated us our attention span? Around @2:05 ? Anyone? Just me then?
no but I did look up from the game I was playing on my phone while watching RUclips 😅
I didn't even hear him say that!😂😂😂 My ADD....
I hope you and your family can get through it all as smoothly as possible and be happy
I don't know if your parents are actually getting divorced or not
I need to know!!!
I am glad I am not the only one totally lost about this.
Don't worry! It all works out. I'm from the future~~~~
I'm definitely one of the people who love bullet journaling! I've gone through phases where it's super helpful every day, and phases where I can check in every once in a while. The physical notebook helps me because I like making habit trackers and using dot pages in general, but I've definitely considered a digital version.
Are they getting divorced or not?! This is just cruuuueeeelllll.
I'm so worried about this family. I hope they will be happy in the end.
They're not. He's just writing a funny storyline for them.
Love the comical nature but still informative and anecdotal! You also linked to the creator of bullet journaling. Thank you, this was amazing!
The scenes with your parents are so hilarious. Love the videos Craig, keep 'em coming!
1. I love the way you make jokes, I may try that for 30 days
2. I love your Joseph poster in the background! My sister has the same one
3. I love the way you explained bullet journaling. I hate being boxed in but I end up stressing anyway. I'm going to try it! Thanks!
But to add to the conversation of bullet journaling that you started in this video, I’ve certainly learned a lot since starting back Feb such as:
Your parents are just the best
Just started my first bullet journal yesterday so was looking up tips and found this video. I love this guy! Instantly subscribed. The parents had me cracking up.
Wheezy: I wish everything had an undo button
Me: Don't we all?
and copy paste
Have we learnt nothing from 'Click'????? lol
I sure hope December’s bullet journal entry includes making a spliced video of the whole divorcing saga...
Good idea.
This has to be my FAV bujo video of all times!
I thought about getting into bullet journaling but then I thought about how much anxiety I'd have by all the stuff I wouldn't get accomplished because I procrastinate or just too damn lazy to bother.
What golden nugget have I discovered here? I’ve watched a lot of bullet journal videos and this is, by far, the best. Smashing that subscribe button.
I wish I could thumbs up this video a dozen times. I'll put that in my BoJo.
This is going to become your highest viewed video by this time next year.
Every episode with your parents is my favorite episode!
“We should have never sent you to college.” 😂😂😂
I love goodnotes, so good for study 👌🏻 also found the box for writing that is on the left hand side of the tools is super helpful for making my writing actually look like my own haha.
"Armpit of humanity" is a new favourite insult of mine.
Also please tell us that your parents aren't getting divorced, I'm unreasonably invested in this for some reason.
There is this one thing I've come across called "gratitude journal". So I would like to suggest that you keep such a journal for 30 days and share it with us. By the way, I love your videos and some of them have helped me greatly. Thank you so much for all you're doing. 😊❤
Craig looking cut as hell compared to 4 months ago Craig. Congrats on the continued brogress 💪
