Yoooooo! A tech review from Ms. Raya?! I'm here for it! Your review was very clear and concise and you definitely covered the vital components for sure. Everything was broken down in an easy to understand format, especially for the average consumer. I appreciate that. Dang you've got me very interested in this device. I'm looking into it right after this. Much love, and take care. ❤
Welcome back! I've always wanted one of these emulation handhelds, but I've been waiting for the "next big thing" in that space to drop, but now I feel like I'm just waiting forever. Running PSP is always a big struggle for these devices.
Welcome back! I'm usually not too crazy about these systems but at $75 I might pick one of these up for when I'm traveling and don't feel like bringing my switch. Great review!
@@WrestlingWithGaming thank you so much for watching 🥹👉🏽👈🏽 and I understand, original hardware will always be the best format to play these games, but it’s certainly my go to travel buddy when I’m on a layover at the airport 👾
Nice! I had no clue that these now play DS/N64/Dreamcast games. I have the Anbernic RG35XX and I love the form factor but the addition of retro arch achievements, the horizontal form factor and those other consoles sounds dope. I’ll have to look into this. Great review!
Was always curious about these types of emulation handhelds and your review definitely opened my eyes to them. I’d say if there was one slightly bigger that was strong enough to run up to PS2/Gamecube/Xbox games well I’d be sold!
It's a great handheld. I prefer the vertical nature of the RG SP in terms of play but I do like the analog sticks on this particular unit. I've not added it to my collection, but I am eyeing the RG 40XX with the same SOC.
@@glimmeringharpy Aren't all us retro geeks? 😉😂👍. I was shopping the other day for a vertical handheld for my collection. I just couldn't decide between the Miyoo Mini OG v4 or the RG 35XX Plus. Sadly, I'm only made of flesh and bone; I purchased them both.
@@STR82DVD honestly all these reviews I watch make me wanna buy the cheap ones just for the lolz. Like there’s some pretty legit sd-card accessible $20 devices on Amazon that look fun to talk about 😂
I went with the Retroid Pocket 2S for its stacked shoulder buttons, and then I wound up getting the RG35xxSP and have been loving it, too. I also skipped using the stock Anbernic firmware and loaded a PNY card with MuOS before the 35SP even arrived, and Mu was great from the start, and its now the fastest of the custom firmwares available for the RGxx handhelds. 🤘🤩 And, I love the KantOS theme for Mu, since Silver was the Pokémon game that I loved most when I was a kid. 😽
@@GrimLocke161 I just ordered a RG40XX so I’m stoked to share some thoughts on it later. The KantOS was another OS I wanted to try out but stock is just all around more convenient for the moment. Thank you for coming by the support and comment ☀️☀️☀️
I have both the RG35XXSP and the H. I prefer the SP because clamshells are the best formfactor imo. Hopefully the Miyoo Flip isn't a flop. Some games that can run on the SP could definitely use thumbsticks.
@@mikergale Oh! I used RetroArch and the stock OS. Just import the ROMs into the Saturn folder on the SD card you're using for games, and the device will run them. However, a lot of games were sluggish or even unplayable (like Final Mix, Nights into Dreams, and Puzzle Fighter). I hope this helps!

is it possible to upgrade the OS on this from a macbook? what about adding games and cheats? I just got one but have no idea how to upgrade it and make it all nice like y'all haha
@@JurelTipoSalmon hi! Thank you for the comment. As far as file transfers to upgrade/ change the OS, you can probably use an SD Card Reader and connect it to your Mac that way. I think you’ll most likely need to purchase the adapter for sd card to usb-c or whichever adapter you’d need in order to read the sd card on your Mac. Once that’s done, there’s a tutorial on RUclips on how to update the software with an app to add games natively on the device without needing to add them manually on the sd card. I hope this helps!

oooo there was one device that powerful from anbernic that came out recently but it's just under the price of a low end steamdeck anyway
I decided to go for an RG35XX SP because that clamshell form factor is super sweet, the internals are the same but no analog sticks
It's awesome!
