Jan 2023. Just visited the Cafe. It's now a Turkish restaurant so looks very different inside. It was closed when I arrived but the kind owner still let me come in and take photos though although not sure he appreciated the reason why!

I was thinking about that Café just yesterday and wondering whether it still exists or where it is. I've done something similar to this - I was once at the park near Greenwich observatory where a particular scene from Dempsey & Makepeace was filmed. The place had changed quite dramatically since the 1980s. I was left with a weird feeling of sadness that whilst the location still exists - that time has gone, and mostly been forgotten - lost forever. I often get this feeling when I am at a place from my childhood and reflecting back on that earlier time and understanding that time has gone and we can never get back there other than in our memories. Those memories die as generations of people die out.

Morten dated Bunty Bailey for a few months, not years. Rumor says it was serious enough for her to come visiting his family in Norway, though.

I suppose that both parts can be true, but since Morten was away most of the time, they were not physically together for more than a few months. Back then, you couldn't keep in touch digitally in the same way as now.
