I know this comment is years & years after you posted, but just wanted to say I appreciated it. I've been living in Florida for a while now & I really miss the mountains and fall foliage.
One thing that struck me was how quiet the town looked. Wonder if maybe the video was shot early morning (before traffic picked up).

Grew up here in the 90s to 2000s good place to raise a family especially after they built Walmart/ Lowes complex. Before that you'd have to go to Daniels ( IGA) for food or drive to either Beckley or Summersville to pick stuff up.

I went to Fayetteville Elementary in 1968. I lived at #15 South Lee St. (South Lee Addition back then). There was a Ben Franklin store in town run by a Mr. Louis Rahall just down the street from (Lena's?) Restaurant.

I was in the 7th grade in 1968 and my classes were up on the hill. I remember eating lunch in the basement of the Memorial building or was it the library. I have allot of fine memories growing up there.

The American Legion Hall belonged to my Great-Grandmother Seagall back in the 1940's. I grew up in Fayetteville in the mid 1960's. My Father was the local Dentist in Oak Hill at that time. His name was Doctor Wilmoth. We lived on Nickleville Rd in that long red brick home with the two-car garage on the left after you came up the hill from US 16.

The street that you are on now was the home of Tuny Hunsacker who was our police chief and (Muhammad Ali's) first professional fight.

The place whither the gate where you just turned around belonged to Mrs. Gates. The richest woman in Fayetteville. I raked her leaves when I was young.

Has anyone ever had an encounter with a Bigfoot in that wee town?

Cathedral cafe is ran by burnouts with nothing going for them in life besides running a second class restaurant that employs the lowest scum in society that spend all their time tripping and stoned

Mr. Preston Simms I grew up there and my family was never taught racial hatred and never participated in that kind of crap. We left when I was about 15. I am not saying it didn’t exist but I was not aware of it. My father would never have participated in something like that.
