    I love making these at my mama’s house, we don’t put cinnamon or yogurt, we put egg yolk, vanilla sugar. My kids love them! If we can’t get the cheese we make them with a good jam!

  • @lucysocha5237
    @lucysocha5237 6 месяцев назад

    My mom was an excellent cook. Her nalesniki she used more egg yolks and half and half less flour. She added vanilla extract, Your filling is much thicker. She would bake hers for a few minutes in the oven. So delish! I'm sure your version is great, too. I prefer them with preserves.

    Czesc Pani Aniu! I love your channel! I only want plain, and to make about 8-10. I only have eggs, flour, and olive oil. I think the pan should be hot and not use much oil. My dilemna is, to make 8-10 plain, how many eggs, and how much flour to make the mix? Dziekuje Pani uprzejmie za odpowiedz. Jestem pochodzenie polskiego, i mieszkam w Polsce prawie 8 lat, i dalej nauczy, jak poprawnie gotowac prawdziwie 'po polsku'.

      it may be just personal preference but we have mexican tortillas in shops, and i don't know if that's how traditional mexican tortillas are like, but those in our shops have a little bit of, I don't know, maybe vinegary smell? Just a little, tiny bit. This, plus they are much less elastic. They seem much better for savory wraps in my opinion. Polish pancakes you can't really hold in hand or split in parts, and tortilla wraps you can hold in hand and bite. So polish pancakes only work with limited variety of fillings. I love them with homemade apple jam/marmalade, they are perfect match. And they are good in any way they come, whether a little bit thicker or thinner, fluffy, a tiny bit brown or with less eggs and overfried (they get brown or even almost black spots all over if they are done this way), with more fat or lean (of course leaner are healthier, because frying fat is among worst ways to prepare your food, when it comes to health. and also tastiest... :/ ), any way your polish pancakes come out, except if they actually grow puffy and thick, because then you're doing it wrong and they are no longer "Polish" pancakes! :), but other than this, any way they come out they will have a little bit different taste and feel, but each is enjoyable in their own way, and all of them work well with apple jam. Banana and chocolate is an option, and restaurants serve them also with spinach, with chicken and various sauces, with whipped cream, mascarpone, chocolate sauces and various jams. But it's important, in my opinion, that the jam is not too sweet, because the whole pancake is going to be either too sweet or too dry then. Apple jam is about sweet enough so that the pancake is neither wet nor overly sweet.
      But if you know what you're doing, who am I to tell you what to do :p

    Awesome video - love these. Can't pronounce them but still love to eat them. My sister and I have a fond childhood memory of a polish desert my Aunt used to make that she pronounced "bomboyka." @@PolishYourKitchen my wife tries to make it , but I can’t get it through to Hershey only thing she needs oil for is to sautéed the onions, and just put the cabbage in a little water to cook them and strain the water off the noodles real well before she mixes them with the onions first the the cabbage last and let them render on medium to low heat, at least that is how I remember in my 64 years

    Beautiful naleśniki. But don't call them pancakes! 😂They are crepes. Pancakes are placki and racuchy. Where are you living now? In Canada you can get pressed cottage cheese in any grocery store in Ontario. In Alberta Costco started carrying it last year. I'll make these for my kids ❤️

    • @PolishYourKitchen

      I always struggle with calling them pancakes but I figured I prefer pancakes to crapes... not that I have anything against French 😂 Either way, I think people know what I mean when I say "naleśniki", so we're good there. 😉
