      I am interested to learn if:
      A. Palantir guided Israel to blow up specific or most of the buildings in Gaza in 2024. The place looks like it was carpet bombed. This could mean three things: 1) palantir found adversaries in almost every building 2) palantir's continuous learning algorithm grew the wrong way and started giving the military data that was mostly inaccurate. 3) it was more sinister as its data was ignored and Palantir did no longer have a hand in the operations. We will probably never know as palantir probably won't expose these data sets 3) palantir will give insight into it AI capabilities, and if so, which government institutions will oversee their operations?
      B. Palantir will ldeliver the main guiding stones to help Musk gut the US government from workers while providing transparency as to why certain programs and workers need to be terminated.
      C) There will be transparency in the dealings between buddies Musk, Thiel and Karp during 47.

    From the beginning to the end he insists Palantir is about protecting civil liberties and keeping the government in-check. 15 year on and I am not aware of them doing this once. I am aware that the US government has repeatedly breached our liberties. I suppose he has long since given up on trying to spread this narrative. He knows who butters his bread. I think his more recent behavior could be explained by having studied philosophy (ethics) and playing this less than forthright role.

    • @Sumodf

      Well, i think its more like keeping other governments in check. As far as civil liberties, they’ve deteriorating since the 70’s. It wouldn’t surprise me if in another decade or two, mass surveillance programs finally go mainstream, for our own safety of course. The gov’t will need someone to provide a service for that.

      @wavygoods877 3 месяца назад

      How so?

    • @Shahzad-Khan
      @Shahzad-Khan 3 месяца назад

      @@wavygoods877 I'm lazy so here's an AI prompt lol sorry.
      The parallels between George Orwell's 1984 and Alex Karp's Palantir can be drawn primarily in terms of surveillance, control, and data gathering, though the motivations and contexts differ.
      Surveillance and Control:
      In 1984, the government of Oceania, led by Big Brother, constantly surveils its citizens through telescreens and other means. The goal is to control thought and behavior, maintaining totalitarian rule.
      Palantir, a company co-founded by Alex Karp, specializes in data analysis and has contracts with governments and corporations. Its software can aggregate vast amounts of data for purposes such as law enforcement, military intelligence, and corporate governance. This has raised concerns that such powerful surveillance tools could be used by governments to exert undue control over citizens, mirroring the pervasive surveillance in 1984.
      Power of Information:
      In 1984, the Party manipulates information and rewrites history to ensure that the truth aligns with its narrative. Control over information is key to maintaining power.
      Palantir's technology gives organizations the power to gather, process, and analyze immense datasets. This ability to control and manipulate data for insight or predictive purposes can raise ethical concerns, especially when applied in the realms of security and governance, potentially influencing or controlling public behavior and perception, similar to how information is controlled in 1984.
      Lack of Transparency:
      The Party in 1984 operates in secrecy, and citizens are kept in the dark about the true nature of the regime's control over them.
      Palantir operates in a highly opaque way regarding how its tools are used by its clients, especially when dealing with law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Critics argue that the lack of transparency in how Palantir's tools are used echoes the secretive control exercised by Orwell's Party.
      Despite these parallels, there are significant differences. Palantir argues that its tools are designed for protection and security, aiding in tracking criminals or preventing terrorism, while Orwell’s 1984 presents a dystopia where surveillance is used solely to suppress freedom and autonomy. Nonetheless, the concern lies in the potential misuse of such technology, which could drift toward the oppressive state depicted in Orwell's work.s

      All I heard was a marketing strategy for how to get people to willingly let you invade their privacy.
      This is the beginnings of the branding strategy for totalitarian controls.

    As an Iraqi, I think the information that the whole Sinjar event happened by a single village then we need to study why they did it, what was the pattern or real motive that made them that evil and try to find it somewhere else if it exists. I hope that info was communicated to the Iraqi government to study this and take actions.

    "Kwame Raoul, the Illinois Attorney General, has been informed of your operations, including any potential illegal activities connected to behavior manipulation and custom content insertion. As someone committed to protecting the rights of individuals and investigating systemic abuses, his office will ensure that any violations are fully investigated. The consequences of exploiting vulnerable individuals for personal or political gain could be severe. Remember, Raoul’s team is more than capable of digging into the digital footprint you’ve been so recklessly leaving behind. The clock is ticking."

    He was articulate and rather to the point here. None of the disorderly tangents we've seen in the more recent past. Anyways, at least he always has something interesting to say.

    Karp has a platform like your movie. I would work for him for free. It’s just good vs bad. Compelling idea is not tagging each of us. It’s just a way to social proper. Get better or do what you what to do. Fail or shift.
