Thank you and the rest of your group for all your help. I have enjoyed all of the videos. I'm now planning my garden. I have ordered my lids from fourjars. I'm very happy with them. When I received my order, I had a very nice message from them. They are sorry for not having the amounts that ordered ,so they filled my order with more than I ordered. Just a different package. I ended up with more lids. And my order only took 2 days. WOW . Best customer experience. Thank you.
I like to can in the winter too. Helps keep the house warm. And puts some room in the freezer and jars on the shelves!!! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you for your canning tomatoes Tips and tricks! Thank you Leisa @ Suttons Daze for Canuary ❤and 4 Jars for sponsoring this fabulous canning collaboration❤
Canuary has been so enjoyable. I cannot say thank you enough to everyone for the videos. For Jars and Leisa are wonderful for sponsoring Canuary. I've gone back and watched last year's videos too 🎉
Thank you again, Renee. I learned something new again today from you. As a new canner, I didn't realize frozen tomatoes needed to be processed differently than fresh. Thank you for your explanations. Thank you Aldo to Leisa and For Jars.
Great idea to freeze tomatoes in the busy/warmer weather days. Then canning later in the winter with more time and cooler temperatures. Just makes good sense! Blessings on your day Kiddo!🌻🐛
Another great job of explaining this way of using frozen tomatoes. I liked your reason why tomatoes frozen on the vine, cannot be used. I love how all you ladies consult with each other during these canning collaborations, like you did with 2leelou!!
Thank you for being a part of this collaboration ! I have some frozen tomatoes in my freezer that I need to use. Thank you Leisa and Forjars for all you do!
We have a great garden every year but I never thought of freezing and then canning at a later time. Love the tips of the skins coming right off as the thaw too. I love how every participant that is teaching us in Canuary teach us all something different along with tips and tricks of the trade as you all go. Canning our own tomato sauce is an amazing idea. With all the GMO's and Bio-engineered ingredient's to our food today. I will be canning for my family soon as can get all my products together and get started. Thank you for all your information, thank you also to Sutton Daze and For jars for all you do.
I so agree with you that canning can be therapeutic, and that sense of preserving food for your family is satisfying. I like to do a lot of my canning in the winter months, bringing a little summer into my kitchen during the winter months.
I’ve been canning for years and this past summer had tomatoes coming out of my ears I never once thought FREEZE THEM AND DO THEM IN THE WINTER! Why did I not ever know you could do that! Thank you for this video you have saved my life in the future. Great idea! God bless ♥️
I am so enjoying all these Canuary Videos. I love seeing in the comments that I am not the only Senior Citizen who is just getting into canning. I'm 76 and just retired January 1st. I hope to do more gardening in retirement and work on canning. I did 2 batches of tomato basil soup last summer, but hope to try many of these recipes this year.
Freezing during harvest and canning later is a wonderful idea. It is intense labor harvesting, cleaning, and preserving all at one time. This will take some pressure off getting the harvest in. Thank you!
Freezing tomatoes is a wonderful idea. You're right - things are so hard to keep up with since there's only so many hours in a day. It would make life so much easier to freeze and can when I have more time - like in winter. Thank you for this video!!!
I always fill my freezer with tomatoes during harvest time and then can them on the cooler days of Fall and Winter. Freezing then thawing makes it so easy to remove the skins. No more tedious blanching. Thank you for sharing your safe canning knowledge and thank you Leisa and ForJars for sponsoring Canuary.
I always save my tomatoes in the freezer to can when the weather is cooler and everything else is canned. It seems every year all of my garden is ready for harvest at the same time. Thanks for being a part of this collaboration!
Freezing the tomatoes is a great solution to summer harvest overload…more time to work it up in the winter. I never have freezer space for this BUT using Canuary ideas for canning meats for meals is a win-win solution. Thanks to all of you for your ideas!
I love to can in the winter because it makes the house smell so good. Summertime is already so hot and i live in the south. I understand why the old farmhouses had outdoor kitchens! Heating up the kitchen in the wintertime just makes more sense! Thanks for your videos!
As a child I remember my Mom freezing tomatoes ( and also sweet corn) in addition to canning tomatoes. It was my first exposure to canning. Oh my gosh, I totally hear you. I love watching canning videos to see what I want to try next. My family laughs a little but they sure enjoy eating what I do. Homemade tomato juice is the best drink there is. Thank you for all your videos.
I love watching canning videos and canning everything I can as well. It is a wonderful way to learn new things and you have all made so many wonderful videos once again. Thank you again for all you do.
I just discovered this past summer that you can freeze your tomatoes to have for processing later. It’s been a game changer when you are covered up with all of the veggies that can’t wait to be processed. Thank you for participating in Canuary and thank you to Surtons Daze and 4Jars for sponsoring this year’s Canuary.
Love Canuary. So many new recipes. Love the lessons learned during Canuary.
What an awesome idea to freeze these up adds a little more time to the short summer and offers something to do during winter months
Freezing tomatoes is the best. Makes it so much easier. Thank you.
