- In this video, I share with you how I go about deciding what Primary Watercolors to produce great skin tone colors to use for my upcoming Self Portrait/Still Life Painting that I will be entering into Slew’s Online Contest/Competition.
I discuss using the Old Master’s 50-50% mixture of Yellow Ochre & Cadmium Red to make a basic skin tone recipe. I then discuss how to add additional colors of Whites (both Titanium White & Chinese White), Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Viridian Green, Chrome Oxide Green, & Ultramarine Blue to either Tint/Lighten, Shade/Darkened, Tone/Graying, or Intermixing to make newer skin tone color recipes.
