I don't think Tinubu is smart as claimed by some speakers; he knows what to do but corruption & greed is killing him. His advisers are not making any mistake as claimed; they are advising him in a way to align with his corrupt disposition.

We can see the spirit of incompetency in our minister of agriculture. Look at the way he was talking. There is no synergy in his statement.

Why is the government suddenly talking about cassava a lot these days? I heard a speech delivered by one of the governors who also said a lot about cassava. Does that mean the government wants us to all resolve to be using garri and eba in our homes?

I think one important factor that needed to be dealt with is insecurity problems that has driven farmers away from the farmland and the land grabs from the original owners thus preventing them from using the land to produce food for the nation.

I agree he still hasn’t given or answered any of the people’s demands
Give them something to go by.. his more worried about the business being destroyed.. he’s not showing the people any interest about the issue … I didn’t see any concern for the people.. 😔😔

Seun Okinbaloye, I love your interviews but it is unlike you to let this man escape some of your very valid questions. Notice how when you ask him a serious question he diverts by saying "Let me even say something". And then he steers the conversation in another direction that suits his narrative.
Please Seun, next time...do not let your guests play you or control the interview.. We let this man get away with promises. We needed SMART goal questions and answers. Please.
I would have loved you to follow up and find out why Tinubu's and his ministers never look at the local option to provide solutions to some of these problems. Why is the Agriculture minister going as far away as Belarus, USA and Europe to engage manufacturers of tractors....
-Was there any engagement on getting them to bring their manufacturing to Nigeria o
-what effort did they make in engaging INNOSON VEHICLES/ DANGOTE vehicle manufacturing or the other guy in Lagos that makes cars.. in the manufacturing of tractors.
John Dere in the USA is an American firm that was supported by the USA to become what they are today. They make all sorts of industrial equipment to sector specific equipment to home appliances. From tractors to all Agric equipment, to as simple as landmowers.
I am surprised we did not touch on the issue of herdsmen which was the single Policy Buhari introduced that got us here in a situation of food insecurity because Cows ate up 50% of the agricultural produce because Buhari wanted to give Cattle (his private business area) an edge.
This is how Oshiomhole was on another Channels interview as a guest and his strategy was stopping the interviewers from cutting him short and steering him to the important matters to meet the critical time targets of the interview. The Channels interviewers in that interview allowed Oshiomhole rubbish the quality of the interview showing they could not control their interview.

This man sabi read from a prepared speech. He does not even pretend as if he's speaking from his heart. You need to step out from your hiding space and actually engage Nigerians directly and answer questions directly from them.
Too easy to read a prepared speech and go back to your hiding place. That's not leadership. The people hiding him(Tinubu) from the governed know what they're doing less they expose what we already know.

The only thing that can stop d protest is for Government to generate friendly policies. The problem is d removal of fuel subsidy, monetary and fiscal policies of Government and nothing governors can do about it.

Importing tractors and other farming implements is not in itself a cure- all panacea for food insecurity. Nigeria needs huge joint investments with global food chains who have the capital and skill set. Much of the food produced in Nigeria does not get to the consumer because of lack of the necessary distribution infrastructures, for example. Our farm yields are sub-optimal because there is also the problem of geography. Science can help us to overcome our problems with agricultural yields. In other words, year- round yield and harvesting is not impossible to attain for certain crops. Sub-saharan inclement climatic conditions also need to be scientifically addressed through investment in agricultural research and development efforts and so on and so forth.
