I used to watch this show, and I still remember the contestant who had a unique strategy for getting the other contestant to choose "friend." He basically said, "Look, I'm choosing foe, and there's nothing you can do to change my mind. But if you choose friend, then I'll give you half of my winnings after the game. Or you can choose foe, and we'll both get nothing, and that's fine with me. I'm locked in on foe, so you can choose friend and trust me to split with you later, or choose foe and be guaranteed to get nothing." So the other contestant chose friend, and the guy who said that he would choose foe actually chose friend too, and they split the pot. That was the only time I ever saw someone say that they would choose foe, but then actually chose friend -- and amazingly the strategy worked!
I actually kinda like this format. I wish there were more questions and the host is pure archetypal, but this was definitely the start of something decent
I am glad they fixed some glaring problems. The pilot's set was too dark. They dragged those trust box sessions out too long, and honestly this was a show were decreasing money amounts due to time were a detriment. Also, removing the wrong answers first pretty much meant top amount for the question is not obtainable. I still like that it worked with the Prisoner's Dilemma game theory problem.
My wife used to like this show more than Russian Roulette. This setup was more quirky than what it was in the series. "You both chose to be friends, but you don't get any money, just the hope that you'll stay in the game if one of the other teams are jerks to each other." Yeah, no, I'm glad they fixed that part.
I feel like a hybrid of the quesions of the original show and the friend or foe portion of this pilot would make a great show. More trust box while also putting more at stake by saying you'd believe the teams after you will break trust.
I didn't either but surprise surprise there is. I have been watching game shows for a better part of 30 years. I had some dislikes but not a whole lot. Friend or Foe wasn't 1 of them. Fear Factor on the other hand is.
Been a minute since I've seen any of even the regular show, had to look up an episode to re-familiarize myself with it. Wow is the final format stream-lined and faster-paced compared to this. Also surprised they were even experimenting with a "stay in the game" element - I would think it very difficult to end up on a consistent time length for the show with that still in there. It also bogs the game down with positing the "friend/foe" element too often.
I don't know this guy, but he may be the most robotic host that I've ever seen. Maybe he's just trying to be dramatic, but something isn't working. I'm bored.
So Friend or Foe and the Prisoners Dilemma can be worse. Worse host, worse gameplay. Not a fan of Kennedy’s politics now, but she can host and not sound robotic. The gameplay is too slow (only 7 questions asked for the entire show). It is also more convoluted with the prisoners dilemma than it was on the actual show. The two losing teams can vote friend and friend yet still earn no money.
Not the worst, but much too complicated. The type of question is not bad, eliminate wrong answers with the value of your answer descending as time goes by. But I can't imagine why the teammates can discuss whether they want to be friends or foes before locking in their choices. The color scheme of the set is much too dark too.
I wouldn't say it's the worst ever, but I wasn't a big fan. I mean I despise the prisoner's dilemma game, but at least it Ties into the rest of the game better than the other formats that have done it. I liked how they added some incentive to going friend here, never seemed to be one on the series to me.

My guy was so excited at the idea of having a thousand bucks. Surely that won’t foreshadow something…
Oh man, people complained about the original version not having enough questions per round. Wait until they see this version. Very cool upload!

Would have been a super show. 🎉
Great pilot

Compared to the actual version at least the final version has a faster pace than the pilot. Plus Kennedy has the smarter wit
The show was picked up but the format and host were both changed
This was rough. Mercifully they improved on this for the series.
Happy Thanksgiving
Do you by chance have the pilot for Russian roulette?
That first round is apparently a speed round version of the original first round of Trivia Trap.
he said soundproof, yet i see some openings in the front and no door to seal them. meaning there is going to be sound
Is this the pilot for the Kennedy show or a remake?
I can see why they simplified it.
I did like that you had to come to an agreement quickly on the answer to a question, other than that, I like the version with Kennedy better.
I quite enjoyed that. It seemed to work better than the UK version called "Gilden Balls".
But in this original pilot for Friend or Foe, there was a different host named Justin Gunn instead of Kennedy
You will not be seeing any f-bombs on this video.
Isn't Michele the screaming lady who was in the 1990 To Tell the Truth pilot?
Yeah I get this good thing GSN simplified it this is a little too complicated for me
WOAH! THIS IS FAR DIFFERENT THAN WHAT GSN DID.
Never seen the pilot but have watched the show past it
I liked better what ended up happening: Lowest scores went to the trust box, and if both went friend, they split the money (but still got eliminated).
Who's the guy that is hosting the pilot? I have never seen him before.
We just need now the russian roulette pilot
The changes made were certainly for the better. Much better pacing. Not to mention, no useless seventh player.

I’m glad they retooled this but I prefer the show shafted.
I never knew there was a pilot. Gotta love how the original logo resembled Rubin’s Vase.
I didn't either but surprise surprise there is. I have been watching game shows for a better part of 30 years. I had some dislikes but not a whole lot. Friend or Foe wasn't 1 of them. Fear Factor on the other hand is.
Every show has a pilot.
You never know what pilots Wink has.

I was only 14 years old when it came to GSN for the very first time along with Whammy Russian Roulette and Lingo.
I hate lawyers...unless if their last names begin with a "M" like Mason or Matlock!
I'm sorry Justin Gunn he's not related to you know who
I don't know this guy, but he may be the most robotic host that I've ever seen. Maybe he's just trying to be dramatic, but something isn't working. I'm bored.
the descriptions of the contestants....I forgot how cringy it was.

Didn’t know there was a pilot for this show. I know GSN had one episode in the first season that felt like a pilot.
Kennedy was awesome,
Bob Basile was a contestant on “Greed”
Hosted by Kennedy, aka Lisa Kennedy Montgomery who is now a contributor at Fox News and former MTV VJ?
Oh boy no wonder she shortened her name
Host of Alternative Nation on MTV.
Never trust a lawyer….unless you need one and vetted them.
Dreamcatcher is I used as a Multi-Million Dollar Friend or Foe with 8 Teams of 2.
So glad that they changed the format, because this version sucked!
The concept is great, the execution not so much. I have to say that Kim is an incredibly attractive woman!
I do not like this game show at all!!
I see it worst game show of all time
It's definitely a contender

You clearly haven’t seen the real show on GSN
