  • Its very important to test temperature probes. The best way it to use an ice bath to make sure the resistance equals 32F or 0C and if they match up your temperature probe is good.

Great Stuff Trevor. Not in supermarket refrigeration but into smaller refrigeration still same type of probes though.

Yes they are. Always make sure they are the correct ones for that controller becuase even if they are 10K they may have a different resistance at colder temperatures. Always verify and make sure you have the correct sensor or it will give you inaccurate information. www.refrigerationmentor.com

NTC Thermistors, most common temperature probes in refrigeration
Also guys look up thermocouples, PT100

It depends. I do see alot of NTC but I see many systems using PT1000. Thanks for sharing. refrigerationmentor.com

Hey Trevor , how we know which one is 3k or 10k

At room temperature it will be 3K or 10K. Here is an example from www.parker.com/content/dam/Parker-com/Literature/Sporlan/Sporlan-pdf-files/Sporlan-pdf-100/SD-245-Press-Transducer-and-Temp-Sensor.pdf
