This is a great deck man. Personally, my Grade 3 lineup is gonna be 4 Valeos 2 Arsenal Fleet 2 Tetra-Drive, mainly because I like to have a failsafe after Megiddo, against 7Cs or other rush decks pushing me to LB4. Also it's a nostalgia thing too lol.
I just love how every time i see your aqf deck profiles our builds are the exact same and why you play certain cards is the same reason why i play it aqf life boii
Good deck profile and explaining your experience with the cards. You brought up a good point where this Valeos more focused build isn't as rush like in the early game. You want the CB for your first stride turn. Ideally 3 so you can use the BW starter to not minus. I was also sticking with 6 draw, hows it working with you? It's great to see a draw trigger go off early on.
saikyo jushin I have some CFA stuff still I need to edit. I'll do some deck profiles soon too once I get the cards. Release weekend is this weekend so that's exciting!
Thanks man! I'm loving the 6 draws. This deck doesn't value crits as much because you push people to 5 damage REALLY fast on 1st or 2nd stride without their defensive triggers. Pieces > crits here
Overall it's not a bad deck list. I understand why you run the things that you run. That being said, I don't feel like you are using playing this deck to its fullest potential and that is easily pushing your opponent to 4-5 damage before first stride. Feel free to critique the deck as you wish but I have personally found that this list works out much better for me, as Aqua force has some of the best early game units in the game. Blue wave: SV: 2x Dagger master dracokid Triggers: 6x crit, 6x draw, 4x heal G1: 4x blue wave pg, 4x beragios, 2x cloris, 2x stride fodder, 2x bright shooter G2: 3x Tidal assault, 3x Medla, 4x foivos, 2x Galleas G3: 4x Valeos, 1x Arsenal Fleet, 1x Supreme ruler of the storm, thavas Stride deck: 2x Iohannes, 1x dizmel, 2x galfillia, 4x tetra boil, 4x flood hazard, 2x commander thavas, 1x meggido
You can easily push your opponent to 4-5 early with your build if they don't check any defensives. And the value of Valeos' on-stride is completely nullified then since they won't be taking a lot of damage on your first stride turn. Any good opponent will attack your RGs before first stride and you'll be left with no pieces and the inability to call a full field+do flood hazard. You're also a sitting duck against overlords who ride 10k's (nullifying the value of your tidal assault) This is the reason why, in Japan, we see 20 Valeos decks like this entering a tourney and only 1 topping. (At least 1 is bound to have some god-like RNG... whilst the rest deal with typical VG variance and get destroyed by great players using great decks)
Great build. I personally run 8 crit and have not had resource issues. G3 I run two fleet but also 1 tetra drive. He is mainly for those g1 and g2 rush decks and if by some random chance I use megiddo and it doesn't finish my opponent off, I still have a restander
Really interresting, i will try it. The 4 cloris idea seem have a good def potential but is your deck become sensible on the stability ? It was my fear when i built the deck so i began with 4 bellial like and 3 bright shooter for stabilise the ride of valeos. Indeed i want to try it like you but 3 arsenal seem sooooo heavy for me xD
I'm starting to understand this deck a bit more now (I watched this video around 3 times because I couldn't wrap my head around not going all in no fear from the start) that being said after the testing I've done I definitely like lucianos more than the one that counter blasts AND discards. I'm finding it really hard to like the 8k as well. Resist is nice, attack from back row is nice, but I feel like I can do the same thing by just binding the pg. That being said i run 4 tidal 4 lucianos and 4 foivos. I have to do more testing I can see, because I do realize that everything in the deck is expensive to use more than twice. I'm too used to granblue and it's generally free costs for abilities.
Which is cheaper blue wave or thavas. I want to build one of them but i want to go for the cheaper one. Cuz i am budget. If aqua force doesnt work out what are some good budget competitive decks that are around $200. Also where are your stride fodders. Finally can you make a video on how to deal with link joker when playing blue wave.
There are stride fodders in the video. Blue wave is cheaper than Thavas :) Also: you can't deal with Link Joker playing blue wave. Blue wave dies against most control decks. End of story. Smart Galfilia plays and not over-committing can only get you so far, but that won't change the fact that you'll likely lose.
How does this deck do without Alexandros and Lambros? Really wanna play valeos but if alex and lambros are too essential then it's not worth it, right?
No, that isn't what it is saying. It is basically just saying that they can actually guard. Because they way guarding works is you at the shields power to the vanguard. If it didn't have that clause they would be stuck at 11k and could only ever perfect guard. It doesn't say anything about G-guards so no the dark irregular would not get around it.
No that doesnt work. Valeos says the opponent's vanguard's power can not increase or decrease except with Valeos' skill or guardians through normal guarding.
Are there any match-ups where Valeos plays better than Thavas? I've always been under the assumption that Thavas out classes Valeos. Yet I've recently only seen Valeos in WGP tops.
Good deck list though did you miss showing a grade 1? Unless you only play 10 for some reason. All I saw was 4 Cloris, 4 PG, and 2 Abyssal Owl. Im guessing the other 4 would be nikki anyways. I personally only run 6 3s since you only have 1 good ride target, but 7 is fine.
I may be too late in playing vanguard, but I am an aqua force lover but Idk anything yet about them nor know how to build my deck, I need more knowledge specially of their different sets T.T
So, you don't play an aggro G2 turn? that is news to me, consider that Aqua Force main strenght is the G2 rush, oh well. Nice profile here, it gives me ideas for how to build the Valeos deck also, why you don't play Meggido, i know is super god damn expensive, but i think the Blue Wave new cards were made to work well Meggido, but that is point of view :)
Blue wave's rush is stopped by 1 single defensive trigger. I will attempt to do it in a matchup where I desperately need it to win. But if not, I'll play very conservatively. I don't play Megiddo because I don't have him yet ;P Apart from that, you don't have the necessary CB all that often. Regardless, I'd probably run 1 once I get it.
Valeos deck is fun ,5-8 combo usually to opponent VG on first stride really make them wanna cry....my max combo is 10 [GB3flood + galeas + any g2 or g3 + medla + medla +(beragios+yorgos+trigger)]
You should drop 1 Nikki for 1 Arsenal Fleet, that way you're keeping the same amount of stride fodder except more of it is recyclable if necessary. Also, if you're using Beragios' 1st skill to search Valeos, you have an easier discard cost.
I think tidal is amazing, but if you don't want to run him, you have the choice between: Medla, Foivos, Galleas and Lucianos... Plenty of BW g2s that give you battles.
I think that's doable. Valeos is like 4 dollars... Same for Flood hazard. Almost your whole main deck is commons and rares. the PGs are like 1 dollar a piece.
Nah don't worry about it I was just joking, not everyone can spend over $100 on a card lol. BTW I love your channel! I've been searching for a Aquaforce fanboy like me on youtube for years, keep up the great content!
Valeos vs Chaos: you lose. End of story. Thavas vs Chaos: don't let them lock your starter. If you run mitros, don't call it out. If you run Bubble edge, push it back into soul on g2 even if its effect isn't used. Don't call fields early. Your sub-par rush won't finish them off and you don't want to start the actual game (post g3) with a locked board. Get on the new Thavas whatever it costs. (that back-row attack enabling is gonna be your best friend) Flip Galfilia with Alexandros 24/7 so you always have access to unlocking and don't rely on G guarding for it. Let Orthia, Shipra and Melania establish your board state. Yes, they will be able to lock some stuff regardless of resist, but you still ruin various of their plays by fucking them with the resist. Finally: Don't use Galfilia just because you can... Sure, unlocking a full board is fun and all, but if you can't win that turn and if that means you don't have access to her next turn, you're gonna be in a world of hurt. The Thavas vs Chaos match is a war of resources. You need to strategically get the momentum and do the full-on attacks with a fully unlocked board when your resources vs their resources can handle that. Keep in mind that Alexandros becomes more powerful the longer the game goes on. You're basically setting up for those sweet 3-5 end game 61k swings ;)
I don't agree with your stance on G2s and the lineup. I tried Medla and she was almost always a dead draw. Any restander is a better option, which is why, like you said, Anger-boil no longer has space in the deck, so I run 4 Arsenal. Galleas is the new Foivos imo, in that he's a one-drop (technically two for his skill I guess) combo for Flood Hazard. You just have to be aware of what's in your hand and play accordingly to conserve or maximize attacks when you need to. The deck is very unlike Thavas where you can swing and get rewarded for reaching higher and higher waves. Your ability to attack and being able to restand your units is the objective AND reward and thus has a higher skill cap because misplays in this deck punish you more heavily than most other Aqua Force decks. You can't have non-restanders in that G2 lineup or else in that clutch moment you just shoot yourself in the foot because you fell short on attacks.
- I disagree wholeheartedly. Medla is a great draw. She allows us to play more conservatively at times where we need that. Good opponents won't allow you to keep all the resources you need. - Galleas' discard hurts way too much imo and doesn't synergize with neither Foivos or Arsenal. In a deck where our first stride costs us 2 discards already, Galleas can be absolutely terrible. - The deck is indeed very unlike Thavas, but Thavas does not get rewarded for reaching higher waves. It's actually one of my peeves with Thavas. It promotes wave but doesn't give you any value for reaching an insane load of small pokes. The current version of Thavas doesn't even promote reaching waves beyond 4 in the slightest. Alexandros' power plays, loads of drawing and all the resist is what's keeping this deck alive now, not our ability to do a bunch of pokes. Meanwhile, Valeos actually rewards doing lots of pokes because defensive triggers no longer nullify those pokes. (which is exactly why Medla is so good on your first and second stride... as the game goes on and CB becomes harder to come by, she also gains some value) - The skill cap isn't higher than other AqF decks imo. We must be playing the deck VERY differently, because I don't find this thing challenging at all... After a solid 20 games, you know all your possible interactions by heart.
Solemn Vanguard how are you running out of CB? We're having opposite issues it sounds like. I can manage my CB even with the restanders. My issue first testing the deck was with dead cards that couldn't help me attack. It flowed a lot better when I took her out. And it's not like she's safe just because resist. Deluge can place over her, Defeat Flare can wipe the back row. Ultimately, it's just a matter of staying stocked up on hand for my build, which isn't hard to do often.
All that draw comes late into the game... If I'm gonna sacrifice spots for Galleas, I will often have him at times where I didn't want him (aka: first stride)
Love your videos, always so much enthusiasm. Gratz on 3k btw and Merry Xmas.
This boi just helped me find my third favorite deck! Thanks!
I've been waiting for this for so longgg
:D
I just love how every time i see your aqf deck profiles our builds are the exact same and why you play certain cards is the same reason why i play it aqf life boii
AQUA LIFEEEE
My friend who picked up Blue Wave thanks you for the bind zone combo with Cloris.
Haha :D
Great deck build I'm going to work on this after I build thavas after Stargate because I got to fuel victor, blaukluger, and gallop
Good deck profile and explaining your experience with the cards.
You brought up a good point where this Valeos more focused build isn't as rush like in the early game. You want the CB for your first stride turn. Ideally 3 so you can use the BW starter to not minus.

One Who Gets Crits, Commander Jaime : When are you gonna drop some more Aqf content?
saikyo jushin I have some CFA stuff still I need to edit. I'll do some deck profiles soon too once I get the cards. Release weekend is this weekend so that's exciting!
One Who Gets Crits, Commander Jaime: I hear ya. I can't wait to grab my Maelstrom stuff.
saikyo jushin I can't wait for SP Thavas XD
Thanks man! I'm loving the 6 draws. This deck doesn't value crits as much because you push people to 5 damage REALLY fast on 1st or 2nd stride without their defensive triggers.
Pieces > crits here
Would love to see you use this to cardfight someone right now. *Mouth starts foaming from excitement*
Do a Gavrail Prim deck profile, please? I'd really appreciate it, thanks so much.
Blue wave:
SV: 2x Dagger master dracokid
Triggers: 6x crit, 6x draw, 4x heal
G1: 4x blue wave pg, 4x beragios, 2x cloris, 2x stride fodder, 2x bright shooter
G2: 3x Tidal assault, 3x Medla, 4x foivos, 2x Galleas
G3: 4x Valeos, 1x Arsenal Fleet, 1x Supreme ruler of the storm, thavas
Stride deck: 2x Iohannes, 1x dizmel, 2x galfillia, 4x tetra boil, 4x flood hazard, 2x commander thavas, 1x meggido

I'll add Megiddo when he arrives haha. Never really missed him yet though
wut aboot the deck build u were talkin about where u were thinking about making a deck with bubble edge draco kid in it? still looking forward to that
Really interresting, i will try it.
Mehh, it's not THAT big of a deal...
I been waiting bro but good job I’m thinking about valeos now
Thank you! It's a fun deck but not that good given the current meta
Should I toss my messiah deck and try to make this deck? (I just have the new messiah trial deck and got a couple rondeau packs)
I'm starting to understand this deck a bit more now (I watched this video around 3 times because I couldn't wrap my head around not going all in no fear from the start) that being said after the testing I've done I definitely like lucianos more than the one that counter blasts AND discards. I wish I had money for the new GR, not much you can do when you’re saving up for uni am I right?
i actually limit nikki to 2 to put in cimon cause you can add power to beragios and makes it re standing more viable
nice, showing the decklist before indepth explanation now
Which is cheaper blue wave or thavas. I want to build one of them but i want to go for the cheaper one. Cuz i am budget. It technically works without but I still wouldn't take a blue wave deck to a tourney without running Lambros and/or Alexandros...
Will another deck come out when star gate nation booster is released
Love the mat.
Thank you :)
Wait, valeos skill says except for this vanguard or skill of g guardian? So g guard like from dark irregulars avoids it eh?
P/S that sp is so sexy
No, that isn't what it is saying. It is basically just saying that they can actually guard. Because they way guarding works is you at the shields power to the vanguard. If it didn't have that clause they would be stuck at 11k and could only ever perfect guard. It doesn't say anything about G-guards so no the dark irregular would not get around it.
No that doesnt work. Valeos says the opponent's vanguard's power can not increase or decrease except with Valeos' skill or guardians through normal guarding.
Have you had the chance to test this against Chaos? If so, how did it play out? Any tips for the match-up?
Valeos dies against Chaos. End of story :p 1-2 Unlocks (MAX) per turn doesn't save this deck.
Are there any match-ups where Valeos plays better than Thavas? I've always been under the assumption that Thavas out classes Valeos. Yet I've recently only seen Valeos in WGP tops.
And happy holidays, by the way.
Ever thought about doing a Maelstrom deck profile?
Yeah, I'm considering :P
Yay new vid!!!
:D
Solemn vanguard are you gonna make your need to be competitive series soon
Good deck list though did you miss showing a grade 1? Unless you only play 10 for some reason. All I saw was 4 Cloris, 4 PG, and 2 Abyssal Owl. Im guessing the other 4 would be nikki anyways.
I personally only run 6 3s since you only have 1 good ride target, but 7 is fine.
3:16 has my stride fodders :) I run 7 g3s because Arsenal Fleet is bae.
Whoops my bad. Figures since I was scrolling through and listening a little and they popped up for like 1 frame. Thanks for the quick reply.
I remember everyone used to sleep on Cloris. Well not anymore xD
Intresting built might try it
I may be too late in playing vanguard, but I am an aqua force lover but Idk anything yet about them nor know how to build my deck, I need more knowledge specially of their different sets T.T
is there actually 50 cards in the main deck or am I counting wrongly?
Lionel Wong 50 cards in main including starter
What is the card name in 3.17
Solem vangurd do you know about the 10 attack combo with this deck
There are multiple ways to do loads of attacks in various Aqua decks... That doesn't mean they're consistent or good though ;D
By the way what do you think valeos need to be better
fallen absol This is my 10 combo
[GB3flood + galeas + any g2 or g3 + medla + medla +(beragios+yorgos+trigger)]
or Artiom + galeas + arsernal + (foivos+yorgos) + medla + medla
Valeos and Flood Hazard made me want to play Blue Wave in all honesty.
same...
What got for maelstrom?
can you make a how to beat overlord video?
Wait the pg says from hand so the perfect guard doesnt work
So, you don't play an aggro G2 turn? that is news to me, consider that Aqua Force main strenght is the G2 rush, oh well. Nice profile here, it gives me ideas for how to build the Valeos deck also, why you don't play Meggido, i know is super god damn expensive, but i think the Blue Wave new cards were made to work well Meggido, but that is point of view :)

Not to mention the new 10k G2's are becoming a thing and the rush is stopped before it begins.
Valeos deck is fun ,5-8 combo usually to opponent VG on first stride really make them wanna cry....my max combo is 10 [GB3flood + galeas + any g2 or g3 + medla + medla +(beragios+yorgos+trigger)]
No Megiddo for fun?
Do a blue storm mael deck!
You should drop 1 Nikki for 1 Arsenal Fleet, that way you're keeping the same amount of stride fodder except more of it is recyclable if necessary. Also, if you're using Beragios' 1st skill to search Valeos, you have an easier discard cost.
Yeah, dropping a nikki for an arsenal fleet is a viable option.
Solemn Vanguard more 11k attackers too, can't be a bad thing
Is it December 22nd in Europe?
No, these cards are from sneak :)
Are you gonna make a mael strom deck now
Maybe ;O
Please post more latest fight videos
How do you beat it , I lost to friend 4 games in a row using new blue waves
It's actually a pretty mediocre deck compared to all the bigger meta decks out there...
Solemn Vanguard I think the new aqf are all pretty decent but I play Neo Nectar so my clan is mediocre atm
Why did u not use the ZR not bad for the deck
I don't have him yet. I'd add him once I get him.
You barely ever have the necessary CB though.
if i don't want to run tidal assault what can i run instead ?
Danny lim nothing replaces tidal assault.
I think tidal is amazing, but if you don't want to run him, you have the choice between:
Medla, Foivos, Galleas and Lucianos... Plenty of BW g2s that give you battles.
another question what can i take out if i wanna run megiddo thank you :3
Danny lim u can replace with artiom
Why can't trans-core have nice things?
This
do a overlord deck profile
Can you make another teir list video
I probably will :)
#AquaLife #NotificationSquad
How expensive is this deck. I wanted this deck for 200 but i dont think it is that cheap

I got a thavas deck without the new GR I can sell if you want
Sunny V can i have decklist
Wow no Megiddo smh
I simply don't have it yet :P and this deck usually doesn't have the CB for it.
I'll probably push Megiddo into my Thavas
Nah don't worry about it I was just joking, not everyone can spend over $100 on a card lol. BTW I love your channel! I've been searching for a Aquaforce fanboy like me on youtube for years, keep up the great content!
your perfect guard only activates when on guard circle from hand not from bind
Where did I ever state its skill goes off?
Cloris gives +5k. It's free +5k guard that you keep recycling.
I see my bad, as an aqua force player could you diss out some tips when playing thavas/valeos against Chaos, luard preferably thavas?
Valeos vs Chaos: you lose. End of story.
Thavas vs Chaos: don't let them lock your starter. If you run mitros, don't call it out. If you run Bubble edge, push it back into soul on g2 even if its effect isn't used. Don't call fields early. thavas deck profile!!
I don't agree with your stance on G2s and the lineup. I tried Medla and she was almost always a dead draw. Any restander is a better option, which is why, like you said, Anger-boil no longer has space in the deck, so I run 4 Arsenal. no zeroth dragon?
Where is thavas...
When I get my cards, I'll make a deck profile for it :D

Now all you gotta do is post some games with it, preferably with commentary.
Agreed!
