About Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey:
Hosted by renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, COSMOS will explore how we discovered the laws of nature and found our coordinates in space and time. It will bring to life never-before-told stories of the heroic quest for knowledge and transport viewers to new worlds and across the universe for a vision of the cosmos on the grandest scale. COSMOS will invent new modes of scientific storytelling to reveal the grandeur of the universe and re-invent celebrated elements of the legendary original series, including the Cosmic Calendar and the Ship of the Imagination. The most profound scientific concepts will be presented with stunning clarity, uniting skepticism and wonder, and weaving rigorous science with the emotional and spiritual into a transcendent experience.

How did you get into Super-Kamiokande without a helmet?
I think thats a green screen
hes not actually there

Who else is here after the Netflix Show "3 Body Problem"?
Me, because I wanted to know what that strange looking "tank" from episode one is. Now I know. 🙂
imagine a backrooms style story but instead of no clipping into some weird separate dimension you no clip into here, stuck for days at a time with nothing but the bright overhead lights, the walls covered in gold spheres, and water so pure it leeches your nutrients when you drink it
This will be an abandoned backroom someday like nuclear facilities
With NGT paddling around you in a dinghy, not taking his eyes off you, and occasionally offering random one-liner mike drop science quotes?
Imagine it
Kind of like speaking to some people your words pass through one ear and out the other.

Some people get inspired by anime to go to japan, but this inspired me to someday reach a scolarship to go to japan and see that neutrinos detector with my own eyes. This video has basically inspired me to follow my actual dream.
Thanks Neil for inspiring the nowadays youth!
(And yes, i actually like anime, but it has just started to like me after 1 year of studyng japanese, so first i liked japan and this neutrinos detector and after anime)
Lito drink some and tell me how it taste like :)))
So what r u doing now?
Hows the progress
Hows it going

Mind blown
Could pass through 100 LIGHT YEARS of STEEL without slowing down. The vast majority of human brains have not evolved to comprehend such things.
1. Imagine how far light can travel in 100 years.
2. Replace that distance with solid steel.
3. Imagine a "smaller than an atom" particle travelling through that steel with ease.
4. Certain brains on this planet thought of ways to have the ability to detect those particles!!!!
I still have no clue how to Bluetooth sync my phone with my car....
Dude, i even can't draw circle perfectly
Why is he touching the distilled water
Because NDT can do as he pleases!
because he's in front of a green screen pretending to be in a boat on distilled water
Distilled water is dangerous to touch?!
😂
@@001100AAAEAit is not dangerous to touch, but I think, in this case, the problem would be contamination in the water. But he is in front of a green screen, so it's just normal water that he is touching in a tv studio.
Whoa, perhaps I should go bak and watch this new Cosmos. I was underwhelmed by the first two episodes and didn't go any further, feeling it was mostly style and little substance.
u must, it's way more into the details than season 1
You have the proof of God as your avatar that's pretty cool 👍
Did he touch this water?!???
it's amazing how we cannot find these neutrinos. they happen randomly during beta decay, and we have come close to creating one by the production of the positron (depending on what you view close as, and how you view antimatter vs. elementary particles of matter such as the neutrino). I hope one day we can capture and further study these leptons.
Over Toasted no they are always passing faster than light itself. Off subject
Lanny Fuller J you are both idiots. they don’t move faster than light and it’s not that we can’t find them... they barely interact with anything so they are hard to detect. not “randomly” produced either.
@@lannyfullerj3852 faster then light)0)))0)))00) what a noob
And how his enter thats place?
This place is so strange and beautiful. I think I would enjoy watching a silent video of just people working on it. It could have sound, but no dialog or explanations. Get Vladimir Herzog there, or something!
I think they did a movie about A.I called Eagle eye and this was filmed to be its computer?
Wait 5000 years and watch the primitive builder guys build this thing on youtube.
Hey kids, neutrinos are one of the dark matter components adding to the expansion of the universe otherwise the acceleration of the expansion of the universe in its uneven expansion therein. While weakly interaction it is interaction nonetheless.
Sincerely,
The Gold disk from Dr. Segan on Voyager inspired JWST along with a discussion with Dr. Bert Meyers it has no optical only first surface mirrors.
Can a neutrino pass through a black hole? Or a neutron star?
Would a cubic lightyear worth of steel collapse into a black hole?
No, a neutrino can't pass through a black hole. (Good catch on the spelling.) Of course, if you take into account Hawking radiation, the experiment becomes massively hard to do. Hawking showed, back in the 1980s, that a black hole will evaporate due to quantum effects. Basically, quantum uncertainty applies to the location of the horizon. (Please don't ask me to explain the math. I barely understand the first page, and I have a PhD in particle physics.) So sometimes a quantum pair is generated and one side runs away taking some of the black hole's mass. And sometimes the thing that goes away is a neutrino. So you would have a very hard time telling the neutrino you just shot in from one of the ones that were being radiated away.
Yes, a cubic light year of steel would collapse into a black hole. But it would take a while.

Provocative comment.
puppetsock how did u got a PhD if u can't even understand the first page?
Neutrino or nutrino?
That's what I was thinking

But more importantly - if NDT is down there all alone then who is there for him to interrupt???
It's spelt nutrition.
I've heard it said that the young earth creationise reaction to this show is like that of an animal that's slowly dying and is in denial against its killer that it's dying.
yes, it kind of like the sound a squirrel makes in the jaws of a dog as its being mauled and swallowed. but if you listen closely it squeaks "I will never believe"
How is he touching that water? Or is that like a special effect?
asking the real question
yep it's definitely CG because when the series is filmed, the facility is closed.
@@gregorygreg4093 hey you know what do they do the facilities like this when they are closed? are they just abandoned? i need to do some reliable research on this topic. it would be nice if you could lead me to some information.
I just learned that you can’t touch the water down there...
Can that be converted to treat water or manufacture hydrogen with new plumbing?
Now let's imagine we all kill each other and somes humans in 1000 years found it 💀

So this is where we measure the neutrinos mutating?

Why does the title say "Nutrino"? It's spelled "Neutrino." The read more text gets it wrong too, twice.
