Ah, Blue Monday - any version of this song helps me to reflect. Good times on the dance floor and crushes that have come and gone. Truly a song that reaches down to the soul and stirs up emotions. Thanks New Order for this masterpiece and to this band for the medieval version.
Played this in 16th century Europe (1520s) during my travels from Bavaria to London and my voyages with the Portuguese and the Spaniards to the New World and Asia until my ultimate demise by the hands of Nobunaga Oda in Feudal Japan in 1573.
Let us raise our goblets high in tribute to this extraordinary minstrel. To thee, noble musician, we offer our deepest gratitude and highest praise. Thy performance hath been a beacon of light in the dark, a balm for weary hearts, and an inspiration to all who dream. May thy fingers never falter, thy heart never wane, and may thy music continue to grace this world with its beauty. Here’s to thee, master of melodies, and to many more nights of wondrous song.

Revision: How doth it feel to treateth me like thou doest? When ye layeth thine hands upon me, and told me who thou art? I thought I wast mistaken. I thought I heard thine words. Tell me how doth I feel? Telleth me now: how doth I feel?
It is amazing just how good this sounds, yes it's played on old instruments but yet it sounds so familiar, any piece of well written music now matter when it was wrote, can be played on instruments of any ages. I once hear Meatloaf's 'Bat Out of Hell' played on a large church organ and that was especially good. A Rockstar friend of mine had the discussion about 'Led Zeppelin' saying that 'Stairway to Heaven' was based on Mary Poppins', turns out it had more in common with Strauss.
However if it were produced in medieval times it would be banned because it has the forbidden note variations that were expelled in the 1400s and 1300s as certain note variations we're deemed to be too lustful. So they banned them out right from use in music. It wasn't until the 1500s that the church finally lifted that ban with the Protestant Lutheran Hyms of Germany.
If I were recommending subjects for treatment, I would probably float a raft of random selections like "Europe Endless" by Kraftwerk, "Nag Nag Nag" by Cabaret Voltaire, "Eighth Day" by Hazel O'Connor," "Touch Too Much" by AC/DC, "XOYO" by The Passage," "Margin Walker" by Fugazi or "My Suitor" by Bernthøler.
Verily, I have a coarse medieval style shirt that I wear to the office nearly every week. No one seems to notice that my garb is 900 years out of date.
Hark! I pray, tell, O Muse, If thine heart beats true, When upon thine servant's back You inflict what you do. When you've laid rosy fingers Upon flesh, soft and naked, And unleashed your true nature, Is thine spirit truly sated? A mirage for the ears, I thought, a mind's trick, Speak, then, O Cruel Muse, How does my heart tick?
I think I heard a Hury Gurdy in there, I really hope I did. Now I'm thinking of it, there is a good chance these bards would have been from France or Italy, so their name is more likely to have been Order de Nouveau.
How does it feel To treat me like you do? When you've laid red hot steel upon me And demand me to confess? I thought I felt pain behind And it was an anguish pear... Tell me, how do I feel? Tell me now, how do I feel?
