Launch of MTV 80s in the UK, replacing MTV Classic (formerly VH1 Classic). Apologies for the fast-forwarding, but RUclips blocks the video due to copyright claims from most songs.

this same thoughts, I thing that EU's 4:3 ratio, idents and even the on-screen graphics are better. I feel like the UK and Ireland's version is 16:9, cuz if the channel is based in the UK, then their watchdog Ofcom (maybe?) only allows to broadcast in 16:9. IDK why MTV did that lol

@@GGYT. The EU version gives an actual 80s feel, unlike the UK version

@@GGYT. This is because MTV 80s 4:3 aspect ratio is carried over from VH1 Classic Europe which gives that 80s feel to it.MTV 80s Europe's music selection is also better than its UK counterpart because the MTV VJs in Poland have way better music taste.
