What a fascinating figure. It’s as though he was embued with the understanding and feelings of centuries of suffering, joy, loyalty and was prepared to do anything to preserve his country. As one man he was a powerful force. Thank you for these videos. They’ve been instrumental in my learning more about Korean history. ❤

Minor correction - the Minister of Finance of Russian Empire's name is Vladimir Nikolayevich Kokotsov, with a sound like ㅈ in the middle. But, otherwise, you have very impressive pronunciation of different languages!

Excellent video 👍, it was very interesting, in case you are interested, a being of Korean creation is the goddess Mago that according to the Budoji, the daughters of Mago, Soheui and Gungheui had children without a father and among their descendants was Hwanin or Haneunim himself, father of Hwanung and grandfather of Dangun, I do not know if this Mago is the same Magohalmi from that Korean myth where a Goddess called Grandmother Mago, created all the geographical formations of the planet earth with her own urine and excrement XD, but it is interesting that from a Goddess comes the one who is a Supreme God putting as the beginning of everything a Female Deity without the intervention of a Male Deity, you can make a video of this Goddess Mago from Budoji

Saddest Korean history 1910-1945 😔 so many amazing men/women sacrificed their lives 😢. I wonder if Joseon would have survived only if King Jeongjo lived another 5 years before evil Queen Dowager Jeungsun wreaked havoc in 1800 - 1805.

I think the main issue is that Joseon didn’t adapt quickly enough to the “modern world”. They were easy to bully and, I suppose, take over. Its elite was too corrupted and sure of itself.

What about now with american military occupation of korea. Koreans make a big fuss about Comfort women with the Japanese but Comfort women with American military is 10 times worse yet barely even known or talked about.
