My experience: This is an example of a very good game that drives you crazy.
19 level, more than half of which are labyrinths of sick people (I'm not counting level 20), and all of this in less than 2 hours. Tell yourself that if the timer is at 0 and you are at level 19, all you have to do is restart the entire game: O. You have understood it, the game is very hard, but still it's not the worst, if you succeed, you still have to beat Jaffar, and the difficulty is extreme if you want to beat him fairly. No because otherwise it is stuck against a wall and it's settled, but it's not really fair ^^ ".
Mazes always scare me because most of the time it makes the game horribly boring, but this is not the case because the level design has been well thought out despite the difficulty, and that's good
The handling requires some adaptation time but its still very correct, the music is cool and the graphics are nice.
On the other hand, the saber duels are really great. Once you have mastery, you think you're a god :), until Jaffar brings you down from your pedestal.
A very good game, but you have to arm yourself with courage and patience to overcome it.
Score: 16/20
You might not agree with my rating and that frustrates you, let's not panic :).
It just reflects my personal experience with the game.
On the other hand, your opinion is just as important as my judgment.
Do not hesitate to give your opinion in commentary with the greatest respect towards others.
And like if you liked it;)

Note : 16/20

Good god, I can't get over how awesome the throne room looks, and Jafar's disinterested pose...
Yes it's ultra stylish I also find :)
On the other hand Jaffar is one of the most horrible bosses that I had to face xDDDD
Yesss
The one on one ⚔️ battle ⚔️ of Jaffar and Prince was very thrilling 😮😮
The Boss Rush makes this an instant classic. Never seen again this kind of Boss Rush
and yet, it's the kind of boss rush that makes me vibrate when I watch it, and since last year when I started boss rushing, it's put me in a huge hype.
prince of persia being a childhood game, I had to do it :)
AND WITHOUT CHEATING, JAFFAR IS LOYAL xDDDDDDDD
The sword fight is where the game shines. Along the almost impossible platform, this was the dark souls of Mario, thanks ubisof
Yes, clearly the platform is more realistic and complex, it welcomes a more serious type of player where the mario license is more accessible for children (be careful, I don't mean by this that mario is for children ^^" , I'm 30 years old and I love mario :P ).
Prince of persia on SNES I'm curious who finished it when he was between 7 and 12 years old. I never managed at that age to pass even 25% of the game ^^" and yet both are excellent
Mention to Prine of Persia for the sword fights, must say what is for the time and even now for my taste, it was very stylish :)
@@bossrushchannel2025 Well I beat the original PoP on the Amstrad CPC at 8 (not an extraordinary player here, just masochistically determined since childhood), but I didn't even realize I was actually cheesing all fights by spamming block/strike "just because it looked good to strike from above" lol, and all almost all platforms I tried, it leads to pretty much the same result : disrupting the AI's swordplay and you can take pot shots at its health here and there and almost never have to engage in actual, long block and counter-parry flurries. But as you guys says, it''s so much more intense and honest, the way it's meant to be played that as young adults we tended to just face it the right way and git gud :D
That's what I've spontaneously started to do this again on this Snes version after thinking back about the one and only time I beat it (it was in 2004) for a couple days. Pulled my original controller, plugged the USB adapter, fire up Mame, and now my thumbs are burning and my ego is moderately hurt (did some good moves and some very bad ones in the toughest guard in training mode ahah).
We agree that simply mashing "up" and "strike" did the trick if you wanted to cheat your way in every fight, correct ? at least that's the behavior of the game on emulators.
Dark souls of mario?
You don't need to engage any of these guys in sword fights, because that's exactly what the whole difficulty about defeating Jaffar is about. The trick is to parry their attacks, and as soon as both swords lower, strike. This would make the enemy step back, so you repeat until he's pinned against the wall, where parrying is not possible and you just waste him.
I just didn't want this kind of fight which I find very badly honest, even if jaffar was very badly honest with us xDDD
So I decided to beat him fairly against him, it was extremely difficult as you could see, even though I dominated the fight I did not come out unscathed xDDD
but by persevering I could have beaten him normally without getting hit, it's possible anyway :)
@@bossrushchannel2025 time isn't fair either
Frrrruck you just kill him

Epic
The hardest thing is to time your first parry and counter right. If the enemy "parries your parry", then it paradoxically gets easier to grab the rythm that ensues in the fight. It becomes "tic-toc-tic-toc-tic-toc" if you see what I mean ;-) This means up/A/up/A/up/A on the paddle every 0.25 seconds approx until your land a strike, then rinse and repeat. At this level the game's tolerance for timings is quite generous tbh.
Nonetheless If you "parry in the wind" (meaning an enemy blocks without striking back while you parry despite that), then it somehow breaks the flow you expect and there's a danger window. Indeed, at that moment, you won't be in good conditions to block the next strike that will come out of nowhere a semi-second too soon or too late.
thank you for all these details my friend ^^
yes it's a lot of timing between the hit and the parry. it becomes endurance against jaffar if we want to play it legitimate ^^
@@bossrushchannel2025 and it's not "funny" if you don't go legit , right 🤣
Damn, Jaffar was giving it to you!
He actually gave me a lot of trouble xDDDD
Epic swords dual ever love it , I want to try it
Enjoy yourself ;)
An Stamina Bar would help alot to make sword fight more interesting. Like an special attack, parry counter, desperate attack, even a pushing strugling as a "test your might" sudden event. In my opinion.
it is an opinion that deserves to be considered, I agree with it without problem :)
Yeah , 10 minutes of endless counter attack clanking was not as entertaining as the Playstation version where you just did 2 Mario stomps to beat the final boss.
Jaffar reminds me of dark link from zelda 2 and there bullshit way of defeating them
as hard the 2, I will have to do zelda 2 by the way :)
With Jaffar I've never understood why he suddenly regenerates and has fifteen energy units.
he's a final boss, and a final boss is always full of surprises since he's usually the one who orchestrates the playwright of an adventure, so he has time to prepare, even if it's not always consistent xDDD
In the context of the story, he is an evil wizard, so it's to expect he can recover health with magic.
Because that wasn't even his final form!
Might be he had more health jars. They couldn't fight them. On screen.
Prince of persia
Jaffar...aka mr im gonna try and runout the time by sword dueling
serious that's totally it xDDD
best version prince of persia 01 game on snes and final boss one of the best bosses in history video games of all times.
Yes, it's one of my favorite games on snes, I love the universe and the boss fights :)
How to ruin a classic.
I like it more than the original
ruin a classic that is?
@@bossrushchannel2025 Prince of Persia
I think it better than original DOS version, because it has two hours time limit.
Dude, the SNES version is one of the best versions of the original, especially since it’s kind of an extended edition.
