Really appreciate the video, but i was about to write the same thing. Please make more videos ('',) but please can you play examples when processing. More
Finally cubase are doing some proper dance hip hop tutorials and showing the power of what can be achieved with this impressive daw. This guy is great. Crammed with tips and advice in one cool video. This is how it’s done.
This was great, the type of videos I want from Cubase. I wish he could have showed a little of the changes in each sound while making those changes. I completely understood, but still.
Yes - great tipps but please! LET US HEAR all these differences - some audio examples are missing, others are much to short! But great stuff anyway !!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! The videos were made to be a certain length so some content had to be cut as well as A/B of every single step. However, on my own channel I have much more detailed sound design videos including a two part series where I synthesize the drums from scratch!
@@VenusTheory That's great, yeah I kinda guessed that. Don't get me wrong, this was really good and Steinberg needs more videos like this one and artists like you to show everyone that with this DAW you can do literally any genre perfectly well. My main concern is the fact that many people don't really trust the in-built plugins Cubase has (I fall into that group too) so it's nice to know that the actual quality of the plugins is good.
YES YES YES!!! Finally!! Steinberg needs more of such content! Thank you so much! This really helps to get me started on this genre! Please keep it up and do more... liking your videos and content!
Unfortunately, I had to stop at 4:44 because the video is useless without hearing how all the settings affect the original sound. Turning the bypass on and off and allowing the viewers to hear the difference would have made this video a lot more useful. But just listening to someone show you what settings they used - a bunch of talking - is not useful.
I almost left from v7 and when i tried 9 - with GA I was floored. Now I'm in Pro and I'm blown away with the stock plugs. I tried others Reaper, Ptools, Ableton, watched vids of logic, and Cubase was clearly my choice to stick with. Killer daw.
What you don’t have is physical modeling, linear FM, or wave scanning synthesis. Nor additive or even a subtractive with more than one filter in series. Don’t get me wrong Retrologue2 and Padshop2 are awesome but Cubase Pro, even with the addition of Halion, leaves a lot to be desired. Mystic and Spector are broken too... I wish they would fix those like they overhauled all the other plug-ins. Still love Cubase and what I don’t have inside the box I certainly have outside or via 3rd party.
Bro great tutorial! I wasn’t expecting to get such an in depth lesson in sound design. Until I saw your video, I didn’t realize how much goes into making sounds. I experiment as you do, however I will watch this video again to level up my technique. I want to check out you website. Can you please provide it here?
I actually use it somewhat often for sound design work, especially for stuff like direct offline processing or batch normalization as my other DAWs don't feature such things (massive oversight IMO). Plus Cubase has video support and support for different sound formats/surround sound which is great for doing trailer work!
@@VenusTheory I'm sorry, I just hope you don't become a sockpuppet like Andrew Huang. Every word that guy says is paid for. I know you're into Bitwig so I just find it strange to see you making a video on the Cubase channel.
🙏 🙏 😊 excellent video and great usage of the sampler track! never use it much but this gave some ideas. btw, what did you use to get that pseudo-3D effect at the beginning? 🤔 🤔
Glad you enjoyed it and it was helpful! Sampler track is pretty underrated! As for the effects at the beginning, I edit using Davinci Resolve which has a basic 3D engine to create shots like that. For more advanced shots, I'll create them using Blender.
TIL that reverence isn't just another standard reverb plugin! I usually just randomly swap it in for roomworks so not all my tracks have the same plugin on lol
Hi There my name is Mr Cannadine T. Boxill-Harris, how have you been Keeping up to Lately, I was wondering if you need to do the other way round Lyrics in you’re own word Lyrics but sing it differently in the original Extended background Versions of those Particular song’s By Andrew Gold and The Korgis, Never Let her Slip Away and Everybody got to learn Sometime, why don’t they just Replace the Synthesizer String Sound to a Two Musette Accordion’s sounds and make this Musette sounds for the Two Accordion’s 3 to 8 and a half times more Deeper then the Original Synthesizer String Sound that they have this Particular song called Everybody’s got to Learn sometime and also Replace the Xylophone Sound to a 16 Times More Deeper Chime Bell or Even a 25 Times More Deeper Still Drum Sound, Because it is Still one of my Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Favorite Song’s Ever Since I was about 10 Years of Age Thank You and I Like 👍 you’re Remixing and make you’re singing 4 and a half times more Deeper Please XX
The intro portion is really to cover the basis of what exactly I'm demonstrating and why as well as a fundamental overview of the concept and approach. However you can always skip ahead if you understand the basics! The sounds are also demonstrated within 35 seconds of the video starting 🤷♂️
Venus Theory Totally understand your approach from the teacher‘s POV (I’ve been teaching myself for over 20 years). It’s just from the students‘ perspective, it would be much easier to follow if the practical „before“ and „after“ or effect of certain settings if you will would be shown directly. It for the rest, great input though!! Definitively learned something!
Yo! In this video, the drums are much more forward in the mix as that's the topic of the video, so the bass and other elements were put down in the mix intentionally.
You say that we can layer. But, Why are you not showing us how to do it? The first two words of the title are "HOW TO". Just saying things are possible while jetting all around, and barely giving us a second to even see which menus (if you show us any) that you go into, makes this solely a promotional video, saying: "HEY, Cubase can also...' ____'!"
search Venus Theory, and check his videos you will finds lots of great content and detailed explanations, but remember this is a promotional video for steinberg cubase that he was probably paid to do since its his job
Yo! For the sake of time some of the small details had to be cut out, otherwise this video would be incredibly long. Stacking sounds is quite easy though as you'd just drag them on to the same pad with the + mode
Dude, every explanation needs to come with an audio example so we can hear the process. Thanks you
Really appreciate the video, but i was about to write the same thing. Please make more videos ('',) but please can you play examples when processing. More

excactly! didn't learn something new

In a simple word, if you have a Cubase you have almost everything.
Toss in Halion and yeah, pretty much.

I have Cubase 3 on my ohone and that don’t have much I mean I see the layers I don’t have that amount of layers
I didn't know God allowed the same person to have a radio voice and also trap production skills at the same time.
Haha thanks
Cameron is amazing! You should check out his other tutorials!
Ayyyyyyy thanks dude!
@@VenusTheory I thought this guy was an avid bit wig user not Cubase
This guy looks like Logic and has the voice of a smooth jazz radio host.
And the legs of a gorilla.
Lol..
Cubase - amazing Daw. Thank you
For sure! Cubase has a ton of crazy features if you know where to look!
Dude im in love with the background music !!!!! i need to acess it somehow pleaseee🙃
Out of interest, how do you get that diagonal screen effect on your screencast when you played through the track?
Awesome! Thanx for sharing bro! Truly beneficial for a new producer like me 🤙🏼💯
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you this video was helpful
Hey Cameron, did you use your own samples for this track (especially the 808 and the analog kick), or are these actually stock in Cubase as well?
Great video!!! Please upload more like it!
Glad you enjoyed it! I've got lots more sound design tips and tutorials on my channel!
Venus Theory yeah I saw that and subscribed!
As soon as I see Camerons face I have to lower the bass on my monitors. The blokes a legend 🤘

A lot of experience shared in less than 20 min. Awesome, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
so awesome
Good job bring trap people to love cubase

Could you relax on the radio voice. All I heard was blah blah eathly glue
Sadly no, I installed genetics.exe and am permanently a walking Ford commercial 😢
@@VenusTheory Lol, you got the coolest voice Cameron.
You're no less of a man (or a brand) if you don't have the token sub-heavy radio treatment on your voice. It's ok to save us the ear fatigue

Go to Cameron's channel - he goes into much more detail there with all his other vids.
Play the sounds Cameron, pointless talking without playing the examples. Its so futile when sound "Teachers" don't do that.
this is cool and all except that the sampler track crashes the entire program every time i try to use it, because cubase is coded by clowns
Eliminate USB-eLicenser, it is an archaic cumbersome system, which is not in all countries and limits the people who want to buy cubase.
If you have a computer... in ANY country... it has a USB port.
Lucky for you, they are probably removing it soon.
