MY GOD, The Musem level is just a Giant Sega tribute. THIS IS AWESOME! I wonder why all of sega's older franchises didn't get more sequels, these games were THE SHIT.
Sega for some reason didn't believe in following up on a lot of their IP's, not sure why though, but they milked the shit out of Sonic, while Ristar only had 1 game.
This was one of my childhood favorites, until my older brother got rid of this game. It made me sad. Now after many years I was reunited with Bonanza bros afthe I bought Sega Genesis Collection on the PS2.
Aaah the memories!! I remember when me and my brother would play this game all the time. We were never really that good at, so we never finished the first level. But it was super fun... Until you know... we got older. We didn’t use the wii that much so my mom sold it for more money to buy our new house, now all my brother does is lock himself in his room and play fortnite, he rages when he doesn’t win and ALWAYS blames it on someone.... Just once i’d wish to go back to those days, and play this game again... just.Once....,.
Dude me and my brother used to play 2 player on my sega i was only like 6 when we played this and i have been trying to find it i finally found it after all these years
For me I had the at games Sega Genesis and since I was a kid I never had a problem with it, hey it never broke, only issue is I have no batteries for the controller 😭
7:30 and 8:12 Moments like this is what made me enjoy the game so much, especially how this game gives you many ways for you to trick the guards and lure them into running to a trap they made (for some reason!), like a forging press device to crush and flatten a guard like in a Looney Tunes/Tom & Jerry cartoon! It's so funny how easy it is to find several ways to deceive the guards in every level of the game, especially once you get the gist of how the environment is full of guards and policemen that are treated as "bumbling" and short-sighted chumps you can pull ruses on them any day. I love how several moments throughout the game like 3:50, 5:21, 7:08, 7:18, 8:57, 13:50, 14:49, 15:27, 16:45, 17:08, 18:13, 19:54 and especially 12:55, also teaches you how to be stealthy, think on your feet in a limited span of time, remain quick on your feet when something attacks you, remain resilient and decisive within any circumstance you got yourself into, and how to have fun with your cleverness and sneakiness by repeatedly tricking the guards into making a fool of themselves to progress in places where most of your enemies (if not all) are treated as short-sighted and inept compared to you, the player, using your brain to outsmart them and sneak past them during a heist (while still able to partake into some fun shenanigans during the infiltrating), that is a very entertaining factor I really love about this game's shtick and gimmick as a "professional thief", as well as the charm and the humor it brings as well. In an odd sort of way with looking into this side of the game's choices of stealth you're allowed to do, those moments I mentioned above and noticed throughout the game, kind of remind me of the message with how Bugs Bunny's use of trickery can shows us the audience on how being "cool, calm and collected" allows you to create plenty of strategic advantages to mess with the irrationality, shortcomings and vulnerability of your enemies, and turn the tables around to your own benefit while having full control over any situation, this is why I love the ways this game shows you how it is indeed very possible to deceive and manipulate the enemies in the game with multiple ways once applying some quick thinking, problem solving, strategy and critical thinking skills with a small dose of mischief that adds the fun factor in outsmarting your enemies in the game.
Loved that this was included on the atgames genesis. That was a cool thing to have growing up, aside from the screwy music. It's still weird hearing it in the right pitch. And yes, it is wayyyy more fun with 2 players.
I used to play this a lot with my dad on the Sega Genesis, back in 2014. I saw it in store and immediately asked my mom to get it. I had fun with it and this game.
So, the conundrum is: are they actually saying what it sounds like they're saying when they get hit? Jump to 2:39, 3:32, 15:39, 17:39, and probably others, and boy, it sure does sound like it, doesn't it? But I listened to the actual sound file in sound test 43, and it sounds like they're actually saying "edGIT", rather than what everybody thinks it is. I have very little doubt that it's deliberately trying to invoke the S-word, and we could probably call it a "minced oath", along the lines of telling somebody to "fork off"...but no, I don't think we're dealing with an actual profanity here after all. My verdict is false.
In the YTP community, we call that noise “IDEH!”. The arcade version does a lot better because it uses an entirely different scream for “ideh!”, and can be heard more clearly.
I heard a lot about this game because of its reputation in Arcade, which never came to my city, and I bought it for me Megadrive in its time; the truth will be me but I did something disappointing that I only had 10 Levels ... 10 Levels? ... From what I understood it was announced as a 4 megabit cartridge (No megabytes) in videogame magazines, and one I expected more Levels for the simple ones of its Gameplay and graphics ... in a 4 mg cartridge, the reality is that it was only 1.55 megabits (194 kilobytes); but still there are longer games in master system and Nes with that memory .... maybe it's my fault for trusting comments and not knowing the arcade well.
They always make up for a short game by making it very hard, it is a tactic use in arcades to make you put in more pennies (or quarters if your in the states) to finish the game consistently. This was transferred into the consoles as well. But as you only need to pay once for a console copy vs a shot at the arcade, it was pointless and that is how modern games are way easier to beat (on paper at least)
what happened at 5:45? I really want to not suck at this game and i've never got further than the cruise ship. please, someone tell me the secrets of this game
You can trick the old ass ai into them following you and once they start jumping onto the platform get off and run,you can also jump over the fbi dudes when they blow thier whistle
Tried to find a RUclips Channel that played this game and I can't find I have been losing my mind trying to find it again.... (it's also Japanese by the way.)

“Thank you! See you again.” Too bad we can’t, this franchise is already dead.
