Dude, the first thing you should do is do your research before you start criticizing someone. Savion Washington is no longer there. Transferred months ago.
The arguments people are making that the PAC 12 was better than the Big 12 last year are goofy. Colorado won one PAC 12 game last year. Just because the teams that smashed Colorado last year were better than Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State doesn’t mean Colorado will be better than those teams this year. I also think Sean Lewis’ quick offense was what got Colorado to 3-0 before teams realized they had no running threat and this year they won’t have that advantage. Their linemen are bigger than last year but on average still small compared to the average Big 12 linemen.
RJ, I enjoy your podcast. Prime coaching at CO caused me to remember that it was the team that had a live buffalo run the field, that CO was the team that was kicking butt in the 90s and won a national championship. Although I don’t agree with everything you say I respect what you say and how you deliver what you say. Your opinion is based upon the preponderance of the info you’re able to access and your knowledge of the game. That’s a heck of a lot better than 99% of the other channels main-stream or social media. Yes, there has been player upgrades and the majority of our transfers have better stats on paper but in all honesty, we don’t know for sure how that experience will translate in COs program. We have to acknowledge that our team isn’t perfect. Even the most elitist of athletes make mistakes or aren’t able to pull the rabbit out the hat the last few ticks of the game clock. We can only HOPE and EXPECT to win more games than we won last season. IMO, no one can argue either side of the how many w-l this season or if the Buffs will win the Big 12 and ultimately the natty until we get closer to mid season at the earliest. It’s also my opinion that CO has to win at least 8 in conference games just for respect and 9-10 to leave no doubt. 6 wins could be a successful season for most programs but definitely not CO. Remember we have to win twice as much to be considered half as good.

I’m not sure how I came across your channel, but my husband and I were listening to your take on NFL coaches in college football as well as the current climate at Colorado with that NFL experience. While I’m not a Colorado fan, I’ve been recently following the program due to all the buzz around it. My husband, who played in the NFL and has coached high school football, STRONGLY disagrees with your assessment of NFL experience in college football, especially in this NIL environment. You seemed pretty cocky about your stance, so buckle up - we've got some truth bombs for you. First off, player development is about to become a make-or-break issue for college athletes in this new landscape. At recent coaching clinics, some big-name coaches (yeah, NFL guys included) were telling my husband to steer his top high school talent toward colleges with NFL-savvy staff. Why? Because if these kids want a shot at the big leagues, they need that pro mindset from day one. Programs lacking that NFL connection or savvy may pay a lot but it doesn't mean it will translate. But their players are gonna be in for a rude awakening when they try to make the jump. If you have the Number ONE football show, It's amazing that you have missed the direction this is going. Let's talk about Jim Harbaugh. Most of his Michigan staff has NFL credentials. And guess what? Michigan players slide into the NFL like they're putting on a fresh pair of socks - championships or not. You don't see them acting like divas or problem children like some other "successful" programs churn out. Harbaugh's running an NFL-style ship, just like Coach Prime is aiming to do. Maybe do some homework on this because it's not exactly a state secret. Before you dismiss the NFL experience like yesterday's news, wake up and smell the future of college football. To be blunt, your perspective sounds like it's collecting dust while smart coaches who are are prepping high schoolers for the new reality. It's time to update that perspective, my friend.
Martha, playing in the NFL is a three-year career for most. Development for the NFL is meant for the top 1 percent of college football players. Some of us end up coaching the sport afterward, and we win championships without NFL experience. I built this show with an iPhone, iMovie and no broadcast experience. While I understand you won't see a difference between my journey and playing the sport, please approach me with the kind of respect you'd like me to show to you and your husband. More truth bombs here at your leisure. I can do this all day. And the next and the next. This is who I am -- cocky and sincere. I await your response, if you dare, my dear.
@@numberonecfbshow To be perfectly honest, my brashness stems from my husband, who was deeply frustrated (angered) by your stance on NFL experience in college coaching. He once considered coaching at the college level, and it irked him when a coach with no playing experience acted as if he knew more about the NFL than someone who played for nine years before an injury ended his career. That coach was also arrogant, cocky, and bragging about other successful coaches who lacked NFL experience, but he never won anything. What many people don't realize is that Nick Saban makes a point of surrounding his top-talent players with those who have NFL experience-my husband and many NFL players even spoke at one of his fall camps each year. Also, he was hired to be there for over a month, once working with tight ends. This strategy is part of Saban's 'secret sauce.' You'd never hear Saban dismiss the importance of the NFL experience as you and other commentators often do, especially when aspiring coaches are listening. Trust me, they hear it, and it comes across as jealousy, to be honest. That experience is invaluable for young athletes who dream of reaching the NFL, so it’s frustrating to hear it downplayed. It's akin to someone talking about the military without ever having served. This was the point we were trying to convey. What's wrong with just saying, "Hey, it could mean something to have NFL Experience in that locker room if that's your ultimate goal." But You dissed it!!!

I also like how you mentioned the new offensive linemen and the record of the schools they attended but did not mention the amount of snaps each of those linemen ( Benson, Johnson, Meyers) played as well as the fact that all of them only allowed 3 sacks combined last season…. Idk about you but playing 300-500 snaps in the big ten and big 12 and only allowing 1 sack is pretty impressive to me especially when the school you played for was not very good that just means you were start player playing on a lackluster team around you lol they did they best they could literally do which is only allow 1 sacks a whole season playing 300+ snaps… they were starters at power 4 conferences who all only allowed one sack a piece playing for sorry teams and they transferred out to play around better players lol

They better start thinking about O line! They went out and got some just Well Lineman. I'm not saying that these guys can't end up being a good group. Your not going to have that many W's if your Good! Because your QB has that IT factor that could translate to Great if He has a Better than Good! If Shedeur has time and there Line can open up some Run lans. Then RJ hit it right on the Head! He is Accurate! First Round NFL Accurate and I would love to see Colorado's O Line to Come together and let Your QB do what Me and other's that have seen Shedeur Be his Best and that's Time to throw the Football and I'm just talking a couple of more second's that's what he does and with Persistion cause his Arm is his weapon and his Legs are his backup. He gets some throws down the field and some in the Middle then guess what They are just rushing 3 and oh by the way your fresh legs start taking over because he hasn't been running for his life since the first quarter of the game. O LINE COLORADO IS NOT WANTING GOOD . GOOD GETS YOU 4 WINS NASTY GOOD GETS YOU 4 MORE WINS MAYBE 2 MORE DEPENDS! ON JUST HOW NASTY THEY CAN GET. RJ I GET IT BUT I'M GUESSING PRIME HAS SOMETHING UNDER HIS COWBOY HAT THAT ONLY HE KNOWS ❤ HE KNOWS THAT HIS SON IS SPECIAL AND THE 5 young men up front will Have to over achieve the Good. So my analysis is This. If you just GOOD THEN YOUR NO GOOD AT YEAR 2 BEING SUCCESSFUL! PRIME KNOWS THIS WE SHALL SEE!! I'M A LIFETIME SOONER FAN STARTED OUT BEING THAT CUTE BABY IN THE SOONER GEAR. TO SWITZER WAS MY DAD AND MYSELF TELLING MY AUNTS boyfriend that he had to go and buy a new shirt or borrow one because he wasn't showing up for Thanksgiving with that ugly OSU Orange on. He laughed we didn't he until his passing a couple of years ago became a Huge Oklahoma Sooner Fan! I Love College Football because I'm Sooner Born! And I will continue to Love College Football until I'm Sooner Dead! Just hope it's after a couple of seasons of watching how the new playoffs work out. Love your show and Your Love for College Football you being a Oklahoma Fan is just a Perk! Oklahoma is are Pro Team! Sounds weird but if Are State ever did get a NFL team. Sooners would still be the Standard! The SEC thinks that we are getting introduced to the SEC we think that the SEC is getting the Introduction of the Oklahoma Sooners! BOOMER!!!!
Btw, since when does the talent of individual Olinemen get judged based on the overal record of the team? I guess Joe Thomas was trash because the Browns were horrible while he was there....😂 u rushed this one bruh lol
Cus stats from last year... Passing yds (14th), Rushing yds (133rd), Rushing yds Def (102nd), Passing yds Def (126th), Penalty yds per game (131st), Turnover margin per game (9th)... The data compiled is based on 133 teams. S Sanders finished in the top 25 in Qbr, however, the numbers show that its all null and void if your missing other pieces of the puzzle. @@numberonecfbshow 8 wins 4 losses
First off regardless of what is in the pinned comment you said what you said and that is Savion Washington is the starting RT he isn’t and wasn’t on the roster since the spring which means clearly you have not been attention to what has been going on since the spring which makes you not correctly informed and also for you spread false news…..
Donnie Darko wants his identity back.
You think CU will be good while others think Dion needs to go.
Why would deion need to go after 1 year?
This sounds like a story written months ago and not aired until now. Generalities and some inaccurate information 🙄 just to circle back to how many games you think they are going to win since it’s three weeks out until the season starts 😳🤭🤭🤭
This sounds like you don't know how stories get written.
@@numberonecfbshow it’s because I know and have done the work before is why I can speak. 😊 Take some classes and work on your skills. Peace.☮️
I think your showing your bias the pac 12 was way better than the big 12 last year. USC would have came in second in the big 12 last year. The big 12 will be just bad enough for Colorado to possibly win it this year.
We're agreeing.

Yall act like his line from last was better then this yr line lol
Everybody hopes during the offseason. No one is wrong. Yet,
Yo some of this video is crazy. You act like they're not good players on bad teams. Clearly they went out and got the best players from Indiana Houston. Utep..... Come on man like Khalil Benson from Indiana only gave up one sack out of like 300 snaps
You're new. We don't know you.
Bro you keep it nothing but solid regardless of the team. Don’t let these fake CU fans make you change your takes. Stay true to the real college football fans
Appreciate that.
Also, subscribe.
@@numberonecfbshow I am already 😂
I have the buffs winning nine games.
Who are the losses?
Savion Washington left for Syracuse
Bruh.
TO HOLDING THE RABBIT EARS YES I SAID RABBIT EARS UNTIL THE GAME WAS OVER TO RISKING MY LIFE TO TURN THE LIGHTING MAGNET ANNTANA DURING OKLAHOMA THUNDER STORMS. TO FINALLY WATCHING MY LITTLE BROTHER DO ALL THAT WHILE I SNACKED AND WATCHED THE GAMES.
BOOMER!!!!
👊🏾
They have championships in the nfl and gold jackets 😤
Prime has a gold jacket. They've got 4-8.
@@numberonecfbshow warren Sapp has a Gold Jacket. And 4 games is a 400% increase from the HISTORICALLY bad 1-11 from the year before
Btw, since when does the talent of individual Olinemen get judged based on the overal record of the team? I guess Joe Thomas was trash because the Browns were horrible while he was there....😂 u rushed this one bruh lol
Still here?
@numberonecfbshow obviously. U still trying to strike a chord....
There were some NFL EXECUTIVES! & Bronco Players at the game last night in Denver 😮😊, they don’t go to see Scrubs, so CU! Will be fine😂
Lot of coal surrounds diamonds -- a lot of coal.
Saying guys are bad because they were on bad teams or conferences is lazy as hell lol.
What's lazy is coming here with an opinion and not a single fact to support it.
Way too many red flags, its not going to get fixed overnight.
👊🏾
RJ never talk Colorado football again you suck at it just stick to Oklahoma football
Ahahahaha!
