Just bought one for my dad. These are great for charcoal smoking pork shoulder & brisket. The ambient probe lets me know exactly when to add more coals or fiddle with the vents. My bbq is now better than the restaurants now! Had mine for over a year and only charged it once.
yes, they are metal cable style wires, you would have a hard time messing them up although you might need to pull the probe out and reposition it when you flip it because you wouldn't really want the probe UNDER the meat.
No, we do not recommend replacing the batteries as they are hardwired in. If the batteries no longer charge, please contact us at service@buythermopro.com for a replacement😊
@@ThermoPro Thanks. How many recharge cycles do you estimate the battery should last? If I used the probe 20 hours a week do you think the battery could last a few years? The TP920 looks perfect for me except I'm hesitant to purchase an item with non-replaceable batteries, even if they are rechargeable
@@slowjocrow6451 If the rechargeable battery dies and no longer recharges, contact us as we offer a 3-year warranty and we will replace the whole device for you. We expect these rechargeable batteries to last many years with above-average usage.
I don't know about the thermapro. I have the same bluetooth one, but for a single prod... so check this out!, I tried doing one of those reverse sears you see all over youtube, so, got the oven to 275°, with a taylor thermometer as a backup to ensure correct temperature... i had a nice shell steak, 🥩 inserted the prod all the way, and set a 135° alarm on it... the thing starts beeping on the app and thermometer, but again, as another backup, I have a regular instant read thermometer... the thermopro was off by 15°! that shit was 120°raw! so now, i don't know.
adjust ambient temperature settings? ummmmm isn't the ambient temperature just the temperature it is in the bbq at any given moment? that's confusing. just let me select 145* for steak and be done with it. unless its going to turn up or down the heat in my smoker for me.
Hello, Please try one troubleshooting step for us. Sometimes with units the connection between the probe and transmitter may be a little loose. Please try reinserting the probe as FIRMLY/HARD as possible back into the device until a "click" is felt/heard, that is the probe locking in. Once completed, the HHH's will go away and you should see it beginning to read room temperature normally once again.

You have become the restaurant. Congrats 👌🏽
@@ThermoPro can you also do a video about how to put the probes back into the black holder thingys ?
Is there a calibration guide for the probes? Mine appear to be around 5 degrees F off.
What did you did to the thing 😮
Got mine hooked up. Connected to the app and its not showing temp, lll or hhh
I cannot find the charging cable. Where can it be purchased?
It’s a usb c
@@JDBeastmode Thanks
Can you flip meat with the food on the charcoal grill without ruining the cable wires

How do you calibrate it?
How long does the battery last on a charge? I’m trying to do a 10-12 smoke tomorrow
about a year
It is meant for a couple of years but I would keep a peel eye on it after 13 months or so .just to be on the safe side
How to use the “est. time left” function
Are these safe to go into cooking oil while i deep fry my turkey?
U roast turkey bud 😎
Mine won't stop beeping when the temperature is high. Changing the profile does nothing.

The TP920W is not wireless. It is Bluetooth. I am very disappointed that it is not wireless. I am returning it tomorrow
Bluetooth is wireless.
Charging chord ?
Hi Kax, smart meat thermometer uses a powerful rechargeable battery. The package includes USB cable😃

The app doesn't work if my location is off? What a piece of junk.
These things suck they are so inaccurate
You are right...they SUCK! Has a full charge, but its blaring an alarm and HHH. Worthless.
