A very enjoyable album by the Commando Forces Band of the Royal Marines. You can almost feel the heavy swell of the sea listening to the trombone section's glissandos in 'The Padstow Lifeboat'. The songs with Owen Brannigan add so much variety to this recording too. Another good one, Ross. Thanks for posting.
@rosconorth Do you happen to have a copy of an excellent double album of the Massed Bands of the Guards Division. Recorded in the Guards Chapel in 1977, I think. Top class playing from right around the stands. Several first class Directors of Music conducting too. Afraid that, once again, I wore out the records from playing them so much.
