I very much appreciate that your videos are not like all the other "Hipster" vids, where they're constantly promoting new tech gadget gizmos and pretend to be interested in their surroundings. You do a wonderful job with great enthusiasm. Again thank you kindly for sharing these fascinating locations, from Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA!

Thank you - they do take a while to make and I have been limited to a budget of zero, but I hope to get out more and film more interesting places. I have recently borrowed a gimble camera and filmed a few simpler walks, but I would rather make this better produced explorations. I really appreciate your kind words.

This video popped up, I noticed it was 10 years old, so I thought I'd give it a go to provide a comparison to your modern day videos.
Have to say I am so impressed with the quality of production, and as far as I can tell from the credits, put together by yourself with the aid of one other cameraman.
This 30 minute programme would not look out of place on mainstream television, infact it is alot better quality than some of the stuff you see on the multitude of satellite channels.
A very good watch and I can see that you have always been a fine filmmaker and still are today.

I found your channel about two weeks ago. The episode was the Abandoned Canals. It, like this episode, was excellent. It reminded me of a canal near where I grew up many decades ago. Now I live near a canal and enjoy walking and cycling on it regularly. Your historic knowledge, great sense of humour and music choices are spot on. Thank you very much.

good initiative Richard! I'm Polish, one of those few (millions) that moved to you country and I eventually felt in love with south England. Alfriston, Rye, Lewis but also Bourton on the Water, amazing places with historical soul. I also do some traveling videos, but not as pro as you sir. Good luck and keep exploring ;)

Now that I've been there, that is on many of southern England's roads, I can really relate to the opening segment here on your 2nd Bald Explorer episode! The packaged tour I took involved a different hotel for 3 or 4 nights and covered many sights. I can now see why you explore; so much to see and right there in your own backyard! Not like me here across the sea! I'll be back. Lovin' episode 2 of The Bald Explorer!
