FTR Hare Scramble #1 - Bartow 10/01/2023 - Peace River Race by CFTR - Master C.

Pouring rain the night before forced the club to reroute several parts of the trail due to flooding, terrain was very slippery and very muddy. Lots of riders in Master C for this first race of the season, about 50 of us on the starting line, good recipe for traffic jams, and a bunch of guys hit the deck within the first few minutes of the race. I had to stop help a lady who got her leg stuck behind her rear wheel, thankfully she was ok (18min mark on the video), then it was my turn to get stuck in a deep rut, I chose the wrong line... thanks to the club member who helped me dug out my bike! I was able to restart after about 4 minutes (1h09min mark). It was a fun race, not very technical and quite fast, a good one to start the season.

77YB is fast. She passed me yesterday between mile 4 and 5. Trying to keep up with her, I kissed a tree hard!
