"That's just my face!" No one freaking laughed at that? Dave's hilarious and I already miss Taylor. Sammy is like that crazy uncle we all wish we had.
I still can't drive 55, and I was a new driver when that came out. Now, I'm the crazy blond hippy lady, driving a used convertible Mustang, with th Foo's, Petty, Sammy, great rock, blasting down the road. It hits different today. My heart is vulnerable and sad, but Taylors smile makes me feel like it will be okay. And I wish Sammy was my crazy brother.
Love, love, love the way Sammy enjoys interviewing other musicians (he is such a light in this world) and clearly has a way of making having fun top priority. RIP Taylor- a beautiful soul who left us much too early.
I totally have an uncle who is Sammy in attitude! It's great!

My Dad, who has also recently passed away, had years ago purchased me Taylor's Pearl signature snare drum to add to my Tama drum set. It is beautiful... very much so like his musicianship and the passion in which he played with. Taylor, may your legacy and the impact you have left on the entire drum and music community live on forever. My son will be born soon and he will watch your videos and know who the fuck Taylor Hawkins is and I hope he learns to smash even half as hard as you did for the Foo Fighters... Rock on in heaven, Taylor.

Sammy has always been one of the hardest working musician through time. He didn’t grow up with money like Dave did. I guess DLR’s cocky attitude always got on my nerves. But we all have our faves 👌

This loss is gonna take a while to move on from. Now hearing any foo fighters song is just a remembrance of how badass Taylor was. I’m glad I got to see them when I did, before Covid. Taylor is the backbone of the band and I don’t know how they’ll move on. I send my dearest condolences to all foo fans and especially Taylor’s family. I hope one day Dave will have a tribute tour for Taylor and a bunch of different drummers come and play with them to honor Taylor.

This is what it must have felt like when John Bonham died, or Keith Moon. But Taylor was maybe way more humble and down to earth than anyone else in music. He will live on forever through his music and fans. Heaven is an even bigger band now
Favorite moment shared by Taylor & David was their choice narrative for their dialogue to introduce Rush into the 2013 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Honestly, two iconic Percussion Maestros simply paying their homage to THE Percussion Master, “F*CKIN Neil Peart”! RIP Taylor, your star shines so bright.

Watching this recorded shortly before we lost Taylor makes me appreciate life more. He looks so healthy, happy and in his prime. Tomorrow is never promised; regardless of the circumstances. Enjoy every second of every present moment. Embrace your loved ones, make that call, email, visit, whatever. Those whom are 'blessed' to know roughly when their time is about up typically regret nothing more than having not maintained and cared more about relationships. Could have, would have, should have. I am a huge Foo Fighters fan, and I cant help but wonder how hard is it for Dave Grohl to lose 2 best friends and bandmates.. also I see Vic Johnson behind them having a good meal..

Sammy has always been my favorite. I even have a 10-13 tattoo. And I have just recently become just as big of a Foo Fighters (Especially Dave Grohl) fan girl. This is my happy place. Doesn't get any better than this - unless I was there too : )

Seen the Foo Fighters in Lexington Ky a few years back and they done a cover of Let There Be Rock…..one of the greatest live performances of a song I’ve ever seen. I was blown away!! I kept thinking what it would of been like to see AC⚡️DC with Bon Scott .
Us Drummers 🥁 burn 🔥 powerful and fast! Hawkings 🦅, brought bright energy with his sheer love of music 🎶 and Rock ‘n’ Roll and proudly carried the torch. I feel for his friend and fellow Drummer Dave Grohl, he has been through this kind of loss too many times. Now Taylor you can go jam with your hero Neil Peart wherever you guys are. 🤘🏻

This just seems so crazy to me I never would have guessed that any of these guys from the Foo Fighters would have passed away before they were at least 90 this is such a shock my heart and thoughts go to his family and friends and all of us has fans are very saddened and shocked
I mean, I wouldn't say 90, I don't know the circumstance of Taylor's death, but I do know he was pretty heavy into heroin and cocaine back in the early days of foo fighters, to the point that he had his teeth replaced fully. My first thought when I heard was that he's around that age that heavy drug use in the past can catch up with you, or maybe he relapsed, God forbid he didn't commit suicide.

I feel bad for so many different people, his family, the band, the fans, and Dave having to go through losing another irreplaceable member of his band again, I can't even start to imagine how hard is going to be to continue with the band after losing Taylor, I hope they take some time off to try and put themselves back together, Rest In Peace Taylor.

So many good drummers. Many were really good in the grunge years. Didn't mention Chad Smith, Blackie O from UO or Dale Crover of the Melvins and I'm surprised Dave didn't mention a more underground drummer. Peart and Bonham are always mentioned like Sammy alluded to.
And isn't Travis Barker kinda mentioned a lot when talking 1 of the best new drummer boys.
@@sparkyguitar0058 Travis Barker is an exceptional drummer, but most drumming enthusiasts balk at the idea of him being considered among the best. Personally, I think it's because those people simply don't like Blink 182 and their music, but TB is MORE than a serviceable drummer, in my opinion. Rock on brother!

Saw Taylor rock it out with Alanis at Jones Beach in August 1996. Distinctly remember his performance that night and her acknowledging that. Radiohead opened. An unforgettable night. Rip Taylor.
I hope he knew how many kids he inspired, how infectious he was and how he always brought out the best of Dave. Not that that was his purpose, I just fear he couldn't cope with pressure and/or being in the shade of such a big name in rock'n'roll and took that goddamn heroin again. Whatever you do, and no matter if it was the case here: Don't do hard drugs and advocate/vote for decriminalization, so the problem doesn't spread in the shadows and these people can get the medical help and clean product they need.
Oh God, I hope those kids find inspiration in Curt as well and follow his lead before recording and God awful sounds.

I had the major pleasure to see taylor 3 months before he passed . Saw the full band . I can say i did . If you didn't u missed out on the best drummer . Ive seen 100 orvmore concerts but taylor is by far the best there ever was . He played hard fast and clean . Yup i saw the best drummer in tne world with gis best friends . And i got to see the 3 times . In utah on the 12 of December 2017 last show ofcthere tour . The sonic temple they closed the fesrival and vegas at the t mobile center 3 months before he passed . Fucking rock on taylor
