The back and forth for the narrator was epic. Then Scar says, "good we're disabled ... just like in real life." and I facepalmed. Absolutely epic stream.
Your opening wheelchair story is the best representation of American Health Care. 17k with no guarantee of service or equipment...thank you, hope to bill you again.
Scar talking about the “vibes” of these people is something I understand 10000% as someone with chronic illness. It’s a sixth sense you get for doctors and other people supposed to be helping you. An immediate tell they’re going to be cruel.
I do love that the Hermits started using the Voice/Proximity mod and started doing a lot more streaming. I've found these hang out streams so much more fun! I didn't realize how much different it is from previous seasons until they mentioned the lack of interaction pre-voice mod.
Scar, when you first told your travel story (shorter version) on tangos live stream I was pissed on your behalf because if my client (I'm a caregiver) was treated as badly as you have been, I would have lost my sh**. Truly, I'm sorry you had to deal with crappy humans.
Scar, there is no excuse for the way you were treated by the TSA agent or the Alaska Airlines employees. It's hard enough to travel without that level of unprofessionalism. You and your dad remaining calm during that is amazing, and I respect you both a ton. 💜
I've flown a lot in the last few years and the thing that surprises me the most is that there is literally zero consistency between airports in terms of TSA enforcement. Some places yell at you for not taking off your shoes. Some yell at you for not leaving them on. Some require you to pull out all your liquids. Some just require all liquids to remain in your carry on. Some are like "PUT YOUR LAPTOP IN A SEPARATE BIN!" and the next one is "LEAVE YOUR LAPTOP IN YOUR CARRY ON!" You'd think that because it's a federal agency that they would have the exact same procedures everywhere, but in reality it is up to individual airports to interpret how to enforce the rules. It's an absolute crapshow.
AFAIK it mostly depends on what kind of scanners they have. With newer fancier scanners you can leave liquids and tech in the bag, with older crummier scanners you have to take them out. Shoes depends on the style of shoe, afaik. If you might be able to hide stuff in the sole, it has to get scanned.
My aunt is disabled (RA and diabetes) and she can barely walk so uses a chair and a walking stick. When she went to America she was asked to walk through the x-ray machine (without her stick), which isn't possible for her. She also was told to take her shoes off (she has diabetes and on so many meds so this is a massive no no for her as she could get super sick). When she said she couldn't do it they were so rude and unaccommodating, like they'd never met a disabled person before. My uncle went off on one and finally she got through, it was crazy though! No other country has done that to her! So sorry you had to go through that too! xx
Also scar’s flight was domestic. The TSA agent really didn’t need to power trip like that 😒😒😒 Maybe its just me but domestic flights are always supposed to be fairly easy in and out. In fact, you don’t even need a passport for domestic flights if ur US citizen as long as u have government ID

10:49 This might be my favourite sightline in your base so far. The train platform with all the details, mixed with the tall tree action on both sides of you, creating almost a corridor for the growing moonlight to pour through, so good!
I suggested on his Twitch stream that he should set up a go fund me for private jet travel. Maybe instead a fund to upgrade future flights to top tier status?
@@edtuckerartistNope. That is one of the reasons people go on private jets. You can pre-screen all your belongings and just get to the tarmac, get on the flight, and take off.
The most affordable version of this would probably be getting TSA pre check it’s around $80 and lasts 5 years, so it’s not cheap but if you travel regularly, have a disability that impacts travel, or travel for work it tends to be worth it.
I know how much of a hassle it can be to file a complaint, but I really, really hope that Scar reconsiders it -- maybe a little further down the line, after he's recovered a bit? Maybe a family member could help? If this is how they treated him, how must they treat passengers with physical *and* mental disabilities? I shudder to think of it. So dehumanizing...

To me, it makes more sense for people who require extra boarding time to board last because everyone else will be out of the way by then. I was on a flight with a woman who required a wheelchair, and the attendants brought her on last once the aisle was clear of everyone else boarding
I do think there is a point where a narrator to help the hermits get involved in the stream without twitch tts is a good thing. Chat can be hard to read sometimes. Perhaps you guys could commission some kind of mod to let you moderate how much you let pass. Perhaps some kind of direct message to the stream through some custom command or something. Like (narrated message(nm?)) to (player) and the message following it. So the mod doesn't throw tts at everyone online. Eh. Just a passing thought. I think theres something there though.
the deeply disgusting part (aside from the everything) is that TSA is just security theater. they barely actually do anything, and there have been countless times where the TSA will just decide that the line is taking Too Long and just let people go through, just completely drop the facade.
Gods I could talk forever about airline travel, it's why I don't do it unless I have to. I'm disabled as well, not as much as you are but I have a walking stick and I need to be wheeled around large areas like airports because I can't walk that much, plus I have issues with pain and loud noises so I need to be in a place that is as quiet as possible. One of my legs also has some metal in from an accident a long time ago. We inform the airlines in advance about all of this just like you do, but there is always a hekkin problem it drives me nuts. Most of the time the issue is that the check in staff either haven't read the notes left on my thing saying I need the help, or they just haven't received them at all. I've had to wait over 40 minutes in the past just for someone to come and wheel me through everything so I can get my plane, at one point they held the plane up because of this by 20 minutes and I felt so hekkin bad. At one point they made me walk through the metal detectors, I said before I stepped in about the metal in my leg and said it's on my file and I was brushed off by TSA and sent through. Of course it went off and they were treated me like I was a hekkin criminal, even got taken around back at one point to be interviewed. At one point I was coming home from America and they refused to give me a wheelchair, stating they "hadn't been informed" about my situation and made me walk through the airport to the terminal. I barely made it and collapsed on the tube bit between the gate and plane. Partway through helping me up, one of them went "Why didn't you get help sorted out?" and I was in so much pain I just shouted "I DID BUT THEY REFUSED". Pretty sure that woman was some sort of manager because all of a sudden I've been upgraded in seating, the hostesses were asking me every few hekkin minutes if I was ok and if there was anything I needed and on the other side there was someone waiting with a wheelchair specifically with my name on it.
Maybe for the playlist you can post a list of the line up for what was in it and any links if the people posted them themselves. But even the text of what was in the playlist could be really fun!!
I hate that Scar thinks he did anything personally to upset these people. The people abusing their power in this way just don't see disabled folks or anyone else they considered lesser than them as human. They are deplorable ablist jerks who all deserve to be reported woth zero sympathy. I totally get not having the spoons for it of course and it sucks but I hope something can be done to rectify this.
Isn't there a way to get scar the wheelchair of his dreams gosh I wish I had the money to do it he does so much for others I think it would be nice to do something for him ❤
from what i understand he has the money for it, its just that insurance doesnt let people buy them straight up. insurance has really weird rules about these things and they make people jump through all kinds of hoops just to qualify for them and get them approved

YOU WORK THE GATE. YOU WILL BE ASKED THE SIMPLE QUESTIONS THOUSANDS OF TIMES. WHY ARE YOU MAD???

That parrot 🦜 looks like it's dieing 😢😂 20:26
Doc: when I think about you the last thing I think is criminal... have you seen any of his videos? He's a such a scamp!
great stream scar thanks for uploading!!
Not the Machinima jump scare an hour in, talk about 2012 whiplash ⚰
3:20:08 timestamp just for me of scar’s winning hand :)
"look at my butt" was from secret life when you changed your skin with sunflowers.
1:01:51 hearing scar swear just feels wrong ngl
Omg I actually caught that, scar actually swear lol, it's ok, my parents do it a lot I'm used to it 😆
What swear?
@@deezvidz218I think it got edited out, but it used to be there
I hate that Scar thinks he did anything personally to upset these people. The people abusing their power in this way just don't see disabled folks or anyone else they considered lesser than them as human. They are deplorable ablist jerks who all deserve to be reported woth zero sympathy. I totally get not having the spoons for it of course and it sucks but I hope something can be done to rectify this.
Congrats on the win...amazing job.
That card has to be that lady's scroll of scrolls
more twitchcon stories?!
@@gristen I am from the UK so I knew it worked differently but wasn't sure by how much but ok wow thanks so much for the information it's very interesting how things vary from place to place ❤️
@@JTSCORPIO30 yea its unfortunately to our detriment most of the time :/ insurance over here is a bureaucratic nightmare that cares more about making the most money and keeping things away from people than it does about bettering people's lives

I wonder if JerryRigAnything can help Scar again after the success of the off-road wheelchair. But I imagine his medical insurance wouldn't like him getting a wheelchair from an unapproved source.
"i expect you to be able to self-operate all of your complicated and bulky medical equipment yourself despite extremely limited mobility" but also at the same time "im going to yell at you for daring to act with even the tiniest amount of independence as a disabled person by putting that paper into your lap to move yourself"
what a joke, choose an extreme at the very least to stick with if they're going to bother to be so inhumane?? flip flopping back and forth makes the confusion hit like a stun-lock
im glad your home airport has upgraded and stayed helpful to you at the least, LAX the one time i dealt with it was a nightmare, and alaska at a different airport treated my at-the-time minor single-flying trans self with zero grace at all, to the point of LOUDLY and angrily questioning what the "suspicious masses" were on my chest (a binder) and why the scan was "missing parts"
🙄
not to mention that any normal first-time-flying question was met with irritation by the gate agents. YOU WORK THE GATE. YOU WILL BE ASKED THE SIMPLE QUESTIONS THOUSANDS OF TIMES. WHY ARE YOU MAD???
Jevin murdered so many cats at the beginning of the season because his iron farm kept spawning them
YO SCAR I LOVE YOU BROTHER!!!
my cat ent missing for 3 months once he also fell from the 3th floor :( i thought i would never see him again but i got a random phone of a women that said she had him ^^''' she ended up having him for over a month already she just wanted to keep him and not call me -_- the nerve of people.....
There's a hold'em I like to play where the community gets a two-card flop, but everybody plays their hand like five card draw.
What was the exact date this happened? Hezbollah pagers explosion could have had the US on high alert or something?
The whole wheelchair industry seems ridiculously ripe for disruption, but guaranteed it's regulatory capture that does all this
im not disabled in anyway but ive had such bad experiences with them that im afraid to fly anymore i dont think im ever gonna trust their security ever again
Villain Scar origin story

Yo you have to report the mean people at airport. They deserve to get fired.
Wasn't there a drug bust of drugs being found in a wheelchair? Saw it on the news not too long ago. It's sad but some mules are fake or are disabled.
Wait, Scar actually said "THIS IS BULL****" on stream????? How did I miss that?
