That Drummer is great. He should start a RUclips Channel
Yeah!
Agree!
Naw…well, maybe. If only he liked Visions of the Emerald Beyond, then…..perhaps!…lol
Totally agree. I think that would very agreeable..
Beautiful drum kit. Mind blowing.
DRUMS and BASS keep pace well together at 7:53 ...I'm dancing in the computer room to this....lol
Law of Three all day long! Mind blown in the best possible way. More!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
More to come!
The other worldly Roy Marchbank, unmatched improv. Tight as fook you three! When's the tour gents?! You've got comments aplenty begging to see this set up live.
We are working on it
@@AndyEdwardsDrummeryes!!
Excellent live sound. Your guitarst is fantastic, Andy!!
Fantastic playing everyone! The drum sound is incredible- tom's sound like a mid 70's Gus Dudgeon recording. Bravo!!
Wow, thanks!
Fucking hell this will be on repeat
Oh so you decided to have an instrumental break from your talking? This is amazing!!!!BRAVO ENCORE BRAVO THANKS FOR POSTING!!
Yes! Thank you!
Now that's what I call Fusion 3.
Oh yeah 😎
Outstanding. Your just as good as everyone you mention on your channel. When are you guys coming to London, I want to see you guys live. Great vid Andy.
Badass. 🔥
I think i have a new favourite band
Fantastic stuff, fellas. The improv was superb.
Thanks a ton!
Excellent….loved the bassist
Great cover of Stratus. Billy Cobham is fantastic, saw him live and he’s still got it. You guys are fantastic as well. I knew Andy was a prog drummer, but he is even better than I expected him to be!
What can I say. .oh I love the groove. Nice
Recognized the Holdsworth tune right away. Come to CT, Toad's Place.
Excellent stuff. Come and play here in Paris
Or at least post more online here. A poor cousin, but it'll do until you play a live gig at 38 Riv.
YESS !!!!! I would love to see this in person some day!
I love the drumming!!!
Is there an album coming?
This is good!!!
Ok...just clocked that album is indeed on its way!
Great rhythm section.
Andy hoping to make Rolling Stones list of 250 greatest drummers. You’re kinda like a milketoast version of Tommy Lee. Add some cowbell and a leather thong, and you might weasel your way onto the list.
All jokes aside, this band sounded really good. Good thing they have a bass player who can keep time. 🤪
Wow, so awesome Andy!
Awesome performance. Great musicianship. Andy, your drumming is amazing as always. You are a master drummer that can play any style with ease.
Thanks for these nice comments...it's not with ease I can assure you
Reminds me of Rick Beato's interview with Pat Metheny when he says Pat solos through the changes effortlessly and Pat stops him and tells him that A LOT of effort went into learning to do that.@@AndyEdwardsDrummer
Ace! 🔥🔥🔥
Hang on i just saw a 4th player. Did he break the law?
Outlaw sax.
Andy, I respected you based on your perspectives you expressed on your YT channel. Now I have a whole other reason to respect you... wow. Great drumming.
Brilliant stuff. Hard swinging groove. Love it.
You sound great Andy
Thanks Joe
he done doin it
Has Roy ever done his own interpretation of Allan's stuff from the HARD HAT AREA album ?
Good stuff
"Shawn Lane Went Home and Cried". :D (Just taking up a good enough excuse to parody the name of a famous Guided by Voices video, named so by them, with great love and prostrate adoration for _The Who_ . Just swop "The Who" for "Shawn Lane", bang it into the RUclips search bar, and you'll be transported to video that's half a jam on the front porch, and half, some live footage of them drinking too much. Well almost too much. They remain functional all the way through.)
Or in plainer English: Great Band!
I got that GBV reference. I was at that show in Columbus , Ohio too, haha.
@@jasonshort1437 Looks like it was a great show! (And so was this, so I can make up another link between these then?)
No one could challenge Shawn. He was something very special. Roy is Roy....
@@AndyEdwardsDrummer Ja, I think GBV were quite tongue in cheek about The Who (and yes, it's important to note that in that case, too, GBV are GBV - although Bob Pollard went through a phase where he was telling his audiences they're "better than the Beatles", too, so he must have paid at least a token visit to The Thief of Joy then, too.)
Roy is amazing, and no serious "challenge" was meant. (It's not like this is the Rugby World Cup, where South Africa has crushed everyone else again. I think in music things go to ruin when anyone is crushed.)
❤
Fantastic stuff, wish I could have been there! It's great to see how much fun you had! Any chance of touring Europe, in particular Germany? Was it Allan Holdsworth
who wanted to make the guitar sound like a horn? Roy Marchbank is getting very close here, especially with the device he seems to blow into.
Andy….. sounds great. Can you give us a gear rundown on that kit?
Snare drum? Are those the dream cymbals?
👍
My kit is a British Drum Company Legend series with an Aviator Snare. My cymbals are the Dream Bliss Dark Matter series. I have Tama hardware with the Speed Cobra double kick pedals . I'm also using a Tama 12" snare which was custom made for me
Cool
Thank you
It sounds great 👍

Fantastic - would love to see this up close live - Stratus ! - Any chance London? Roto Toms are making a comeback Andy - will you be adding?
I do like them and had a set many years ago
Hey, Andy... have you had a chance to listen to the Devine/King Project?
1. I Miss Daevid Allen's input.
2. Bruford watch out
3. Collosus on steroids meets Brand Y
Very cool. How many cameras did you set up for this recording? Was there someone managing / moving any of them or did you do everything in video edit?
I think we had five cameras in total, and it was multitracked recorded. Been a labour of love to pull this together
Law of three! I always knew you were a secret trinitarian Andy 😂😅

@@AndyEdwardsDrummer And what about saturn?
Bass solo time for the bar? 🍺
Mark is setting the bar here
Must admit tho that them horn noises get old and the guitar sounded immaculate in its own form throughout the first track
Why is it called law of three?
I cannot say I am pleased with the name.
Because there's four of them?
@@thomascordery7951 Not exactly. But I didn't know at first this would bear the esoteric meaning.
I guess the max is about 5 notes a second in the guitarsolo.
One just has to wonder where Roy Marchbank would be now if he had listened to his next-door-neighbour's advice and modelled himself on the Rolling Stone great guitarists, Neil Young and Paul McCartney, rather than that no-good-street-busker-hack, Allan Holdsworth?
Same thing about Andy, too, who stubbornly chose Cobham and Nerada-Waldon over Charlie Watts - against his mother's advice.
.............nowhere???
You r u drummer you may relate to this comment hopefully. This is an idea for a video list.
And that is "less is more" double kick moments of albums. Coz i have a few favs. One is ELP and one is MO. Can you guess the songs??
Roy is the only guitarist I've ever seen who's as inexplicable as Holdsworth.
Great drumming Andy. Your guitarist doesn't play fast enough though.
That's true! HA HA
Very nice, astonishing playing from the guitarist, I would like to see you in Paris. I humbly have some critiques to say though. I think the high reverb on fast solos sounds bad. I also think there's a stylistic gap between the guitarist and the rythm section, a mismatch. It's a personal opinion.
Thanks for the tips!
Cool (but I think the guitar player does not like guitar sound that much ;) )
Best soprano / alto sax and muted trumpet sounds I've heard coming from a six string.
The saxophonist should get some guitar pedals. 😅
Needs a better drummer.
