This video depicts our experience of riding Austia's steepest cogwheel train (Schafbergbahn) to Schafberg.
We board the Schafbergbahn from the small town of St Wolfgang. We enjoy breathtaking views of the Salzkammergut region (Austrian lake district) from the top of Schafberg mountain.

I used to spend much time in the Salzkammergut when I was a child. It is very beautiful there and I def recommend visiting Austria.

Can you share details how much it costs both ways? You took a pass or bought separate tickets?

When we went here, the two and fro tickets costed us 40EUR per person. You can get the latest information here. I am not aware of any pass which includes this.

There is however a Salzburg card which includes some other attractions around Salzburg, but not this specific attraction
