The tallest royal palms i ever saw was on the island of barbados in a place called coco hill forest where they have grown huge bigger than i have seen anywhere else. Maybe over 100 feet tall the ones i saw.

Hey Richard! Beautiful palm, actually my favorite palm. I have a couple of questions for you. I live in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) in the Mediterranean, and I planted a Royal Palm right beside my house, maybe a 10 ft palm. I wonder if I would have any problem with my Royal in the future with the fronds dropping, if I keep it trimmed it would be fine? By the way I planted the palm surrounded by concrete. Will a Royal Palm frond break the concrete? I made a big hole maybe 3-4 ft x 3-4 ft the and 2.5 ft in depth, filled it with good soil, and planted the palm, the soil where I made the hole is really bad, clay with rock, basically subsoil. The drainage is horrible. will the palm have problems with that type of soil? thank you very much.

Lots of questions. The fronds are very heavy and could damage anything under them. It's a shame you planted so close to the house since the palm would normally drop the fronds and you would not have to trim. However, I don't think they will break the concrete and won't be a problem for another 5-10 years. Enjoy your palm and thanks for watching. Check out the video called My Tropical Yard on the channel.

A previous owner of my house planted some royals 20-30' feet from house. During one of our summer storms the winds snapped off a frond that made a hole in my roof. I would definitely not leave a royal that close to the house. The royals around my house are no longer there.

Most Beautiful Palms in MY opinion.
    1. Mature Foxtails Palms
    2. Mature King Palms
    3. Mature Bottle Palms
    4. Mature Spindal Palms
    Especially in twins and triples

Hey, really loved the video! Do you have any idea how much it would cost to buy a 10 foot tall palm tree like that? And where could I buy some? Thanks very much

No idea on the price, I would try a nursery in Homestead where they grow thousands of them. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Royal seeds are very small and perfectly round & smooth and very dark. Geez, you could fill buckets with seeds around here. Check out my other tour called My Tropical Yard.
