The real issue is the police charged the suspect (fellow govt employee) inappropriately in an effort to protect that suspect from actual criminal charges. I would FOIA how many times this detective has charged this ordinance in lieu of criminal charges. My guess is NEVER before.

The truth is that TTA is really last of a dying breed and really does fight for you and I. I've come to realize that at least 98% of auditors are really doing it for the click and view and monthly subscriptions. They put revenue before me and you. I need to copyright that lol!! It's why I'm so grateful for TTA and all he's done and continues to do, and I'm proud to be a part of this family he's created.
Just today I discovered you!! TTA. And you are BY FAR, hands down, THE BEST AUDITOR on RUclips that I've seen since I've been "auditing" auditors for over several years!!! I'm a clinical hypnotherapist so I understand how very important cadence, tone, rythme and vocal quality play a huge part in this and even everyday communications between people. TTA, you demonstrate the true meaning of cooperation.. Because the timber of your voice is in the lower range (which I purposely do with my voice when in session with my clients) AND because you have a very friendly, engaging demeanor.... as well as how you easily and fluidly speak out, in a comfortable and casual way, that "policy is not law" etc., you easily disarm these employees & cops. Thus, they give you WAY less friction and actually accommodate your requests much easier and quicker. All too often I see RUclips constitutional auditors so quick to be up in the faces of cops, billgerant, vulgar, aggressive and demanding, thereby becoming in tone, just like the cops. YOU are not. Huge kudos to you and i hope the other auditors take a lesson from you. I mean, after all, even above and beyond the Constitution.... aren't we all wanting to get along? Like my momma told me... a spoon full of sugar goes down much better than vinegar! Bravo to YOU!!!

I do think you should continue seeking redress for your grievances! You are in the process of documenting the run around they give thousands of law biding citizens every year! OMG I can't remember which auditor it was but the LEO he was dealing with ended the encounter with " you should be good to go." Ypu were also featured on someone's best auditors list. Best New Auditor. Side note plz check out the What the Hales court case in levy County FL. The judge is trying to set a precedent by taking this man's 1st & 2nd amendments.

I agree TTA, you cannot let that go. I want to mention this to you, it was San Joaquin Valley Transparency that had one of your early videos how I found out about you. He said you did a good job.
If public employees were all honest and transparent, they wouldn't be so afraid of an individual with a camera. I watched the original video and I guarantee that if you would have touched the child support dude, you'd have been in cuffs. It was obvious that the police just didn't want to do anything. It would have been ideal to have a partner with a second camera to show the actual contact. Maybe their "in house" cameras show a better angle? That's if you can do a FOIA request and they haven't "lost" the video.
It looks like you do have to go request information regarding your/this case from the court clerks to see how the process unfolded behind the scenes. Seemingly, the city was trying to protect itself from a lawsuit. Like the lady cop said; it even happens to them when the city keeps them out of court/troubles. I'd also see about filing some sort of complaint about the accuracy of the incident report that blocked you from fair & reasonable justice.
I 100% agree that if the roles were switched, trolls would demand that you be charged with the highest of charges to the full extent; and the city/police would pounce on the chance to paint any first amendment auditor as nothing but a lawless troll. Justice should work both ways and the only thing you are breaking is the barriers that police and public officials use to cover for each other.
Marchese is a cutie IMO, she puts on a forced serious all-business look for a few seconds and then is morphs back to the-girl-next-door look....I hope they dont corrupt her. Cangino seemed sincere and well spoken and knowledgable and was respectful and handled her duties on a professional level. I didnt feel she was giving out a preposterous run-around...but thanks for keeping the pressure on them.....this is not going away...you are well spoken, TT, and well articulated...that brings a higher degree of respect from officers and everyone you talk to which promotes and inspires diplomacy.
They have no interest in your assault and had you not gone into the police station to chase it up, the whole incident would have been lost in the system. I admire your determination and persistence against the corrupt system.
