I have heard that PSA sometimes damage the cards when grading, maybe thats why those white dots you dont remember. If i send cards to grade to PSA i will take photos before sending them, from front and back to check that.
Aside from some being slightly off center, the back of the cards are easy to miss scratches and the front to a lesser extent. Assuming you looked at them all under light and magnification the ones that are better centered I’d crack for sure. Cheers man loved the return.
From experience BW, XY and early S&M era cards have issues with edges and corner issues directly from the print facility and use of blunt blades. That is possibly the reason why your XY promos got near mint to mint 8 if the surfaces were clean. PSA usually don't like corner lips either which can dock point. This also happens while the sheets of cards get cut at the printing facility. Get a UV black light and check the edges and corners of the cards through the PSA slab.
Awesome! I just sent a few cards there! I sent a Raquaza Vmax alt art which I am pretty sure will be a 10. I also sent out the entire pikachu v union set along with a Glaceon Vmax alt art.
I don’t know if this is your first time grading with PSA, but those grades look pretty spot on to me. Maybe a few of those 8s would’ve been 9s 4-5 years ago, but don’t send them back into PSA. You’ll just lose grading fees and get same results.
if you can even out the corners on the pokemon label side, then they'll rate higher, but i'm seeing some tiny white nicks. that along with some off centering(not your fault) would drop it a few levels
you may want to relook at the slabs you wanna crack and resubmit. the old era cards had poor print quality and i noticed many of them having bad corners and edges. good luck with any resubmissions!
Just because you open and sleeve doesnt mean it wont have markings. I pulled a rayquaza vmax last night and it had some crazy whitening on the side that i definitely didnt do. If the edges, corners, surface and centering isnt on point it wont grade well
I just recently got back into collecting Pokémon cards .. i say if you can afford it . just buy PSA 9 and 10 slabs … getting cards graded after pulling them yourself from new packs and getting 8’s is a nightmare my dude ..
Also alot of those cards don't technically qualify for there base entry level grading ..under 200$ 15.00 ..most of time they will grade them ..but u even got lesser chance of getting 10 ..because the grader would have to upcharge you and do paperwork ..and way psa pumps these out . Time is of the essence
unfortunately pack fresh never means 10, the prerelease zard didn't surprise me because in terms of xy evolutions, quality control did not exist, cards were terrible quality and getting a 10 is nearly impossible, that's why it's expensive at all is because graded ones in 10s are so low pop
Could be the computer they use to grade them now are being tougher on grading. I think you have to pay extra for a human now. Loved the video Subscribed
@pickledmeat I probably don't explain myself. It's more of when they come back there Hella noticeable. I've submitted twice, and there is no whiting on the back when i send them. But I should have my 3rd submission returning soon. This time, I have proof that none of the cards I submitted had whiting.
Bud I'm watching on a phone and I can see the whitening dots from here on some of your 8s. Try shining some harsh light on your corners when it comes to subbing contenders.
It all depends on the value of the card … also sending cards out to grade and getting an 8 is an absolute nightmare … I recommend if you can afford it to just buy graded cards in 9 or 10
Yearly membership is 100 bucks, then it's $15 for each card to get graded with a minimum of 25 card Submission. You can also pay there premium price if you o ly want one or Two cards graded.
Congrats on that Shiny Rayquaza, that's a great one!
Centering looks off on a lot of those 8’s

only 50 subscribers it has to be more what a underated channel

Good video man. Recently got my first set of 20 graded cards back a few months back and it was awesome to open.

You can't have nicks here there and there and get psa 10 ..any white spots ..almost 99% of time guna be a 9
Nice video yeah definitely do the vendor shows and can’t wait till the next psa submission
Card conventions and buying graded cards is the best way to go IMO .. sending cards to get graded and betting 8’s is a nightmare

A 9 is still a solid grade … most shops won’t touch anything in an 8 … card collectors will probably buy an 8 for a binder piece ..
I had the xy evolutions Charizard that I pulled during the pre release and sold it for $70 cuz I was in college and needed the money later on 😅
lol i love how people are in total denial when it comes of centering acting surprised they get a grade lower than 9
Nice video man, I am in a doubt... I am really seeing your eights as a ten to me... but... who knows...

Great info

Those old promo cards are generally damaged just by being in those old containers tbh.
Alot of cards seem off centered top to bottom ..but we can't see condition
Yeah, the centering on those 8s, man. Not your fault. They're still mint post-print but them mfs cut them bad.
The centering should always be checked before sending in, it’s easy enough to eyeball it without tools.
Great video

im subs bro...🎉🎉🎉
"Woman! I'm trying to record a video here!" :D
Hahaha
The charizard tag team off centered top to bottom
the corners on that 8 wernt looging too good at best a 9
How you think little nicks here and there don’t lower the grade?

@@Choochoosgengar yeah bullshit lol
Black and White are notoriously bad quality out of packs so I wouldn't crack those.

Is it expensive to send in cards to get grades?
It all depends on the value of the card … also sending cards out to grade and getting an 8 is an absolute nightmare … I recommend if you can afford it to just buy graded cards in 9 or 10
how much did it cost you to send all those in? is it one flat fee or per card?
Yearly membership is 100 bucks, then it's $15 for each card to get graded with a minimum of 25 card Submission. You can also pay there premium price if you o ly want one or Two cards graded.
Also you have to factor in the shipping to and from and value in the declared value. That raises the shipping cost @Choochoosgengar
English card quality is rough even from the pack in XY. :( Sorry buddy.
250$ value on rainbow charzard. Nice
centering
nah reshi rainbow deserved an 8 the back centering is so bad
Thats so weird. Ive seen 10s in worse condition than ur 8s. Honestly maybe it's some crease on the card but I didn't see any.
