My boyfriend and I typically don't exchange Valentine's day gifts but we always exchange cards. He gets me the best cards. I'm big on gifting and I'll get him something small yet meaningful. We romanticize the occasion over a porterhouse steak dinner (that's our tradition) and a bottle of our fav bubbly. For us its more about spending time together at home and not just because it's Valentine's day. Brandy, your tradition to have spaghetti is not silly. I find it sweet. I like your tablescape. I have those etched glasses. I think they are just so dainty and beautiful. I found the first one at a thrift store in Oregon when I was visiting my family and I had to snatch it up, but then I had to find a way to bring it home in my carry on without it breaking! Thankfully it made it home in one piece. Since then I’ve completed the set and I just love them so much!

I was at Home Goods today and found the most beautiful rug for a spare bedroom I’m making over (thought of you) it was a pretty neutral creamy tan with the most beautiful light blue design going through it. I’m not a fan of blue but it was done just perfectly. 9X12 for $299. It was pouring rain and couldn’t bring it home today. Ughh I’m sure it will be gone soon.
Love the table layout. I almost feel that your rustic table rather than the linen tablecloth would have been a better backdrop to your set up 😊 love your down to earth style so lovely!

I notice the lamps in the background with new shades. They look wonderful. We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. We’ve been married for forty seven years. And it’s not that important to us. I’m going to be shopping a lot within the next week. I already told my husband all the places I want to shop. I have to schedule with him. He’s been taking my granddaughter to work and picking her up. I think she goes for her soon. But she won’t be able to afford a car. So when her mom has to work he takes her. We have a big four by four truck with a eight foot bed. It’s too big for me to drive. It’s not the truck bed it’s the square front. I can’t see where it stops. So I’m not comfortable driving it.i could decorate our dining table. I have red and white striped tablecloths. I use them at Christmas. But they would work for Valentine’s Day. I do own some china. My everyday dishes are Fiesta ware. So I could set a pretty table. And I have gold flatware. And some cloth napkins. That looks great. I don’t own any glass glasses. I break glass of any kind. So I use plastic. I have some candles that I could put on the table. You gave me some great ideas.
Lindor chocolates are my all time favorite! Those champagne glasses would also be great to put deserts in too!….. lampshades/ lamp $5??? Yes yes yes!!!
