      Then not only just him but Rui & Lebron’s timely help defensive plays, then Vanderbilt & Schroder’s Point Of Attack Defense. On Paper it doesn’t sound like a lot but watching the Lakers when they are locked in offensively & defensively they feel like the best team in the league.

    Chuck and Shaq better start putting some respect on AD's name. They love d riding Embiid and Giannis out there and criticize AD whenever he has a low scoring game. It's hard being the defensive anchor of the team while also being expected to score 25+ every game. Giannis has Brook Lopez to help him out on defense. Embiid... that guy always looks gassed by the end of games and his playoff stats (overall, even scoring wise) aren't even better than AD and yet he gets all the love from these old timers lol

    • @Onechance_ngl
      @Onechance_ngl Год назад +17

      Exactly. Giannis, Embiid and others aren’t defending at the same capacity as AD. If they were there is no way they’d be able to consistently score the way they always do. That’s why AD is my favorite player. He’s willing to do all the little things super stars think they are too good for. The team needed 20+ rebounds in game 6 a few days ago and that was his main focus with defense. He’s impacting winning and putting his personal numbers aside at times but even with that he’s still reaching unreal averages.

    Anyone can defend by fouling, but great defense is not allowing them to get points with a FG OR from the line. And not only AD, but Rui, Bron, Vando, Schroder even. They've disrupted offenses so well this postseason, and when they lose a game, they always make the correct adjustments. In today's NBA, where defense seems to not be a priority, the Lakers are showing how useful it can be.

    And the media will continue their narratives on how he isn’t scoring enough and ignore what he is doing…maybe it’s because he transitioned his focus to defending like this. Which I’m sure is the reason he was asked to play the 5 full time. This is how he won at UK. He barely scored and was the reason they stood a chance. AD still averaged 25+ last season…he deserves way more credit.

      i think for jokic AD needs to be the roamer because jokic can pass so its a tougher guard than like embiid. embiid isnt a playmaker so guarding him straight up is good but jokic gotta have a bigger body on him so AD can roam to take away jokic passing and also protect the rim at the same time.

    The one person who will be able to consistently score with a D contesting his Jokić. Jokić just has way too many tools or tricks in his skill set to be deterred by AD.
    That’s why I think the Lakers versus nuggets will be the best series this year including the finals because the Lakers in the markets are just so equally matched right now, when is stronger defensively one is stronger offensively but they both have superstars they both have a good bench, they’re both undefeated at home and honestly it could really go either way. I don’t think either team has a clear advantage. That’s why I think this series will be more fun than the finals.
    Here’s a question: Obviously if you were the Nuggets or the Lakers you would want Miami to beat Boston because Boston would be a tougher team to beat in the finals, But if you were Boston or Miami who do you think they would rather go up against Denver or the Lakers?
