Fatal Fury is SNK's first ever fighting game franchise. Without it or Art of Fighting, KOF wouldn't even exist. This is the same franchise that introduced capoeira to fighting games long before Tekken 3, introduced some fan favorites like Kim, Mai, and of course Terry Bogard, the former protagonist of the series until Mark of the Wolves (Rock Howard is the current one, son of the original final boss)
@@bryancarter3529 so basically geese Howard is the murderer of the Bogard brothers' adoptive father, and along with Joe higashi (the man who trained one of the new characters in the upcoming installment, the kickboxer), decided to enter the King of Fighters tournament. Terry makes it to the finals, defeats Billy Kane, is kidnapped by geese, and kicks the bastard off the top floor. I don't know much about the plot, but in the second game, geese had a half brother named Wolfgang krauser, who hosted that tournament. Terry won that, too. The third game is about a scroll connected to the Brothers Jin (Chonshu and Chonrei, my favorite snk bosses), and somehow geese is alive. I know that the first Real Bout is probably canon, considering geese literally just gets kicked off the balcony again, but Terry catches him, only for geese to refuse it and just go splat. Fast forward to Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and geese's son Rock (the current protagonist) is still mad at his biological father for leaving his family (something that happened to geese himself a long time ago), and his uncle, Kain, hosts another tournament. Rock defeats him, is propositioned by him to come with him to answer some questions about his mom, and they leave. That's the best I could describe it. I recommend checking out Shoryu Games for a better summary.

I wonder what will happen to KOF XV’s development for Season 3 since they already changed their channel art to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. I hope we’ll get more announcements and updates for KOF as well at Day 3 of EVO Japan 2024.
KOFXV has an extremely small player base and it the least talked about fighter of the big name fighter like Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat. XV just wasn't anything special and brought nothing new to the table for the series besides a graphical upgrade from XIV and even XIV stuck out more than XV with the hideous artstyle. KOFXV had an extemely short life span and only SNK can be blamed for it
The power dunk 1st hit recovery cancel at 8:56 is called braking, all characters have some moves they can brake and it's only available for arcade style input Smart style input can't do feints and brakes
You could always do otg and extra juggles when in counterhit state. Even the counter hit against a standing opponent made them spin around giving you enough time for a combo
I really dig COTW's art style, people rag on it for not being Street Fighter or Tekken level graphics but to be honest, I'd take a dated colourful stylistic look over the more boring "Realistic" approach any day.
Who the hell is ragging on this? Literally every comment I've seen/heard about COTW boils down to some variant of "It looks fantastic", "I wish KOF looked like this", "Finally SNK is using a great art style", etc. I haven't heard one disparaging remark about its visuals yet. I _love_ the way SF6 looks, don't get me wrong (indifferent to Tekken, though it looks good to me as well), but COTW also looks fantastic and, more importantly, looks _different_ to SF6/Tekken so it stands out more.

I hope we’ll get more announcements and updates for KOF as well at Day 3 of EVO Japan 2024.
Yeah will be pretty sad for KOF XV end like that
KOFXV has an extremely small player base and it the least talked about fighter of the big name fighter like Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat. XV just wasn't anything special and brought nothing new to the table for the series besides a graphical upgrade from XIV and even XIV stuck out more than XV with the hideous artstyle. KOFXV had an extemely short life span and only SNK can be blamed for it
The power dunk 1st hit recovery cancel at 8:56 is called braking, all characters have some moves they can brake and it's only available for arcade style input
Smart style input can't do feints and brakes
A good competitor for Street fighter 6.
SNK dose what CapCom don’t
(Makes lesser known fighters)
He should con his hair as a win pose or after his max super
I've never played Fatal Fury or SNK games but I think I'm going to after seeing all the COTW stuff, looks really exciting to try and learn a FGC
This is how Sean should play if they add him in Street Fighter 6 (Marco set)
You could always do otg and extra juggles when in counterhit state. Even the counter hit against a standing opponent made them spin around giving you enough time for a combo
This looks like how MvCI should have looked
Yup!
@@ShinUltima it’s mainly twitter and when the early trailers were dropping on RUclips
Yeah. If I had any doubts before I'm officially in.
can you imagine grant being here..oh my
It looks nice. Though I hope they ease up on the motion blur. Just hard to look at sometimes.
Modern gaming, we can adjust it
Great! A lot of the mechanics are already in Garou 1, the counter and OTG stuff, for example.
“I’ll krump with you Rock.”
SNK needs to get on the ball and release that early-Paramore-ass trailer song ASAP.
It’s the best looking SNK game in 11 yrs
this game looks so freaking good, if someday a new MvC game is announced, i want it to look like how this game looks bro
There's a bear with a gi
Tekken crossover confirmed
Marco's bear sparring partner already wore a gi in the original Mark of the Wolves, I think that was years before Kuma II wore one in Tekken, despite the fact that Kuma appeared back in the original Tekken in 1995
Terry being a feint king is so wild for me i might have to play this
Every character has feints that leads to more combos
I want to know who gavw him the Dub Name Change
I just want to LAUGH IN THEIR FACE *UNTIL THEY ARE DEAF!*
XD
OH MY GOD 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 This is unbelievable I didn't think we where gonna See Marco Again The last Time We Saw Him He Was Hunting Down a Dojo Smasher It's unknown If He Ever Found The identity of the assailant But It Looks like Marco is doing alright for himself
