I love Sam Ryder’s caddie giving his thoughts but letting sam go with his instincts on the hybrid. The give and take of being a pro caddie is fascinating to me.
Great topic. Much better than "is this the best shot ever?" (Guy knocks it 10 ft..whooptie doo). Well done. I always wondered more about what specifically they might be talking about aside from yardage and conditions... you know, the obvious. I'd be like "you see that chick over there? Can you see a ring on her left hand?..wait.. check the right.. some women don't understand... like youre SUPPOSED to wear your watch on your left...wait should that tell me about how she thinks?..or doesn't? Hmmm.. that could go either way...oh..yeah.. gimme 3 wood".
And anyone still questions why there is slow play? Not every shot is exactly like what you seen in this video. My point is every player/caddy goes through this when it's their turn to hit. I like the caddy/player interactions, so my question is, when it's not their turn to hit are they talking about this or do they wait until their turn?
They should just get rid of the commentators, leave only 1 and focus on this kind of audio. This is what people want to hear and see, not the BS that the commentators say
I may be wrong but I believe “hurt” is how much the wind in your face effects your shot & “help” is wind in your back. I was wondering the same thing until 13:25
I wish we had this when Phil was still on tour
"I didn't want to tell you about that gap I had"
Thank you PGA Tour for the accurate subtitles. It's appreciated ☺☺☺

The editing on Xander's shot had me thinking he just gripped it and ripped it.
Big shout out to the PGA Audio Team here! Love seeing some of my audio make it in!
always interesting to listen to the conversations between players and caddies
More of this 🙌
I don't fully know their relationship but it really seems like Spieth doesn't like his caddy
I love seeing the tour players and caddies how they talk to eacother
Same here. Rather see and hear this than watch 3 minutes of aim point over a 3 ft putt
How about Matsuyama and his caddie with subtitles. Would love to know how they go about their shot(s)
Was just thinking about this. Dude is dialed
Can anyone answer what “hurt “ is when the caddie and player are talking?
The wind would be blowing into them. Hurting the distance the ball travels
help vs hurt; help is wind behind the ball hurt is wind at the ball
What do they mean when they say “hurt?”
Means the wind is blowing in toward them which will take distance off the typical yardage of the shot

How come they do not have the conversations when they get it wrong? That would be much more interesting
Rory’s bag man is just a yes guy
How much would you pay to have a mic on your favorite pairing for every round?
anyone going to talk about a 250 yard 7 IRON OUT OF THE FESCUE
not to mention the sound when he hit that ball, im not a huge fan of him but man that was easily the best shot i watched live this year.
Was definitely wind aided and probably sitting up

Into the wind

What does it mean by "____ of hurt" ?
That was my question too.
Anything the negativity affects the ball, wind rain
What does it take to be a professional....
No wonder it takes over 5 hours to play a round. Just hit the damn ball!!!
Remember how much Rory won before putting an amateur on the bag?
Okay. Now do it the opposite way.
