Thank you for this vlog, especially with the encouraging words of Dr. Monroe, I am in a similar situation. My academic advisor told me that I can't be a doctor with the grades that I have. I am in my sophomore year right now, hearing that story is giving me hope! With that being said, imma go eat my pancakes! :)
God bless you, I hope you become a good doctor. Dr. Monroe saying, "Perseverance pays off," makes him a congenial person, someone that you'd appreciate his company.
I relate to Dr. Monroe’s story on so many levels. I was told the same thing and now I’m graduating nursing school in May! I want to be a pedi hem/onc nurse and that doubt keeps seeping into my mind. But this is confirmation I will and can do whatever input my mind to!
I feel really to have stumbled onto this channel especially as I was debating on what what career path I wanted to really pursue. After watching a couple of videos and seeing your positive perseverance, I've think I've made up my mind. You don't know how inspiring it is to see a couple brothers doing their thing. A having a good time as they put the work in
IMG med student here. (Caribbean) headed into my last semester of basic sciences ( I’m in MD4=MS2). Your videos are inspiring and motivating. Thank you for being relatable and humble. I see a lot of videos from med students on RUclips and albeit informative, I can’t really relate to them. Thank you for using your platform to educate! ✊🏽
As an MS1 taking a hard look at peds heme/onc, what is the best way to approach patients as an outsider when shadowing or interning and you don't have a good repoir with them yet?
Hey man, you inspire me every time you upload. I'm an older premed student and when I see what you're doing, it motivates me to keep going. Keep up the excellent work, you definitely deserve more attention.
Hello. It's nice to know you're one of GOD'S healer. Could you recommend a really good hematologist in long island, NY? My dad is having hard time keeping his platelets up due to an autoimmune disease and the large granular t cell leukemia. We also found out his spleen is slightly enlarge. He's now getting nplate once a week and Cyclophosphamide with steroids 2 times a day. Day 1 his platelets was under 2, Day 2 it went to 4,000 but dropped back down under 2 on Day 3. It seems this hematologist is giving up on my dad. 😔 I'm sure someone out there will try to find a way to help treat him. 🙏
My dad passed away as he caught covid in the hospital. It's horrible that this hospital doesn't have a designated area for the covid patients. They are shared on the same floors with regular patients. Now I'm quarantine because I tested positive as I was there caring for my father. 😔
this vid popped up in my recommended a few days after one of your tweets popped up on my twitter (which I hardly ever use) wyld coincidence but this some damb good content for this dumbass physics/pre-med student lmfao. everyone who spoke in this video was such a genuinely good person. shit's rare.
