Ive got you beat... well... My mom JUST bought 1 came inside literally only got to wifi setup and swears she NEVER put in a passcode. Long story short she needed my help so shut it off and when I turned on... im locked out! 🤣 all I could say was that was sure fast! lol

How did you get yours to do anything??? Im doing exactly what he says to do but when i hold the volume up button and the power key for 7 seconds and release it just turns my tablet right back on.. I have tried this like 5 times already and the same thing keeps happening...

This does not remove the password because after the reset you enter your email account that was previously registered. This is a "how to do a hard reset on your tablet" video, not a "bypass password, pattern, pin" video

i did the whole thing and it wont recognize my password when i changed my pw it said to use my password from my previous account...i did and keep saying password not recognized ... lol this is the password i used when i bought it and still, a total waste of time and money

My daughter's tablet would not turn on even though it was charged so I tried to do a reset as shown but the screen just kept blinking from black to gray with no menu being shown. For anyone else who is having the same problem, there is a small hole on the right side of the tablet underneath the power button. Stick a paper clip in there, remove, then hold the power button for a couple seconds. My daughter's came right on and is working normally. I wish I had seen that before going partially insane trying to fix it but at least I won't have to return it.

I have the same tablet. For some reason everything is backwards or inverted. The only way to read anything is to hold it up to a mirror. Can you help me fix this problem? I thought if I reset the tablet that would work but it didn't.

I am trying to figure out my granddaughter's tablet.
The screen seems to be non active. If you fiddle the screen every once in a while it reads your finger and will open and ever so often the pull down tab will pull down. Not sure what besides the part under the screen is malfunctioning.
Only a couple weeks old.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience, have you tried to reboot the tablet? if you do the hard reset process, when you get to the reset menu, select " wipe cache partition" confirm that and will return to the main menu and select " power up device/reboot system" and confirm. this won't delete any personal data don't worry. Mine was stuck on a screen showing squares all around my screen. I couldn’t turn it off or anything. I still continued with pushing on the volume up button and the power one at the same time. I didn’t lose anything it just turned on like nothing wrong.

My daughters did same thing being on backwards mode after an update, I was messing with it for days . I finally pulled down the top of the notifications & there was a tab to update the database & once I clicked it everything rebooted and it fixed itself.

I had the same issues. I couldn't put any of my apps from the Play Store on mine. I assumed it was because Google isn't running on it, it's a Edge browser, so I tried to put Google Chrome on it, and alas it did not work. I guess due to conflict .. but not sure. Good luck to you. It was the idiot at the Cricket store who tried to do something that wasn't necessary, and he wound up putting a password into it! I had not even set up my Gmail account yet, which should be the first thing you should do. If I had that set up, I could have used the device locator to change the password! So ALWAYS DO THAT FIRST.

well, i have the same ONN tablet, 7 inch, from walmart, got it couple weeks ago, downloaded apps and everything was fine, now it wont even turn on, like i even tired the up volume button and the power button just like u did and nothing popped up, its even on the charger and still nothing and this been like 2 weeks maybe? any info anyone?

There are only two buttons. You confuse people when you decided to use three fingers.

Good video. Mine would not go to recovery screen consistently. Might want to pick up the pace a little... You talked so long that my recovery mode timed out and I had to start back over. That's ok. Thanks for the video.

Thanks friend, it took some try but it worked, Japanese or Chinese language appeared 3-4 times, but then in last try menu in English came up and finally I did reset. Thanks for sharing.

you can go to settings, system, language and keyboard, choose your keyboard and check any option there to reset
i am pretty sure the 2nd step you dont need 3 fingers. just power button and tap up button. I got to your screen.
