I'm guessing that some of these are for test purposes or even driver training. I've seen Xtraps at the Westall depot and the other day I saw a Siemens on the Up Caulfield Local (ie Dandenong) line, presumably ex-Westall.
does anyone know why the coming train went through union station, especially because they only run x traps on the Lilydale and Belgrave so it wouldn't of been going to the yards surely?

i’m currently watching this on a siemens train on the cranbourne…was quite shocked to not see a hcmt pull up this morning

Further to above comment, today 23/5/24, I saw a Siemens train, with passengers, on a Down service at Springvale at 1644. Didn't see the destination.
